I started to draw on the print to define some lines with an ink pen, and I'm going to go back in and add some more into the background to build up the composition.

What didn't work as well as I thought: I know that the watercolor bleeds but I painted the jellyfish hoping that the lines would stay crisp, but sadly it didn't work out how I would've liked. I think that the details add a lot of emotion and help move the eye around the print. 

What didn't work as well as I thought: Although I really like the texture on this print, I really like how the texture mellows out in the ghost print. I really don't like how uneven that the paint looks and it looks rushed. I also really don't like the sky because of the odd splotches of paint and the streakiness. I also really liked the way that the prints were quick and easy but also looked really nice. I loved how many different possibilities there were with this type of printing. I also like how you could try the same picture over and over again, like how I did with the cactus print. I also really enjoyed modifying the prints because it totally changed the look of the prints without taking away from the original lines. I loved how creative I was able to be with type of printing

What didn't work as well as I thought: With this type of prints, the amount of ink that you use is key and I never seemed to get the right amount. I thought that all the hard work that I did while carving the block really showed through in the facial features, hair, and background of the print. I also really liked how the offset prints turned out, even though I thought that the detailing in the printing block would make the print look odd and blurry with two different colors. In all, I really enjoyed doing this print and I think that I was able to work well and be creative with this type of print.

What Didn't Work So Well: Even though I really liked my print, I thought that I spent so much time carving out the face, which was kind of a setback. Another thing that I struggled with was the inking. I loved how detailed I was able to get with the mask ease, and I made a cool original print. I really wish I was able to keep the print that I had, but I understand that we have to clear the screens for other students. When printing my face, I loved to mix different inks to get a metallic gold-orange color in my edition. I also printed on a sweatshirt that I had, and it turned out pretty well. I wanted to make t-shirts and sell them like my friend did last year, but I didn't have a ton of time in between studying for finals to buy t-shirt, but that's okay. Aside from screen printing, I also really liked the gelli prints, they all turned out super well and they were really fun to do! I loved all the freedom that we had with the gelli prints, not to mention how easy it was to use. 

What Didn't Work Well: Although the mask ease was super easy to use, the center of the cupid's bow on my print kept falling off of the print. I also tried to make a snake print out of the plastic sheet but I messed up when cutting it out and the details were too fine on my design.
