1919: Treaty of Versailles signed

All 3 leaders were able to come to a compromise, albeit all of them not being able to get whatever they aimed to obtain. Some of the terms of the TOV include:

War Guilt Clause - Germany had to accept total blame for starting the war.
Reparations - Germany had to pay 6.6 billion pounds as war reparations.
Territorial Changes - Germany had to give up territories
Reduction of German Forces - conscription was banned, army had limited manpower, Rhineland being demilitarised etc
Furthermore, Germany was NOT ALLOWED to join LON

As a result, many Germans were infuriated that their government was not represented at the PPC and was forced to sign the TOV. Eventually, this feeling of hatred was exploited by Hitler, leading to the fall of the Weimar Republic and rise of the Nazi Party.

By 1932, unemployment in Germany was at 6 million, or 40% of the German workforce. This effectively caused the Weimar Republic to fail, causing many workers to feel that the Weimar Republic had let them down. Thus, many of them turned to the GERMAN COMMUNIST PARTY (KPD), but some (business owners etc) still feared the communists because of their plans to introduce state control of businesses (just like in USSR).

As a result, many of them turned to the Nazi Party eventually.
