For me it's just a flag that represents the United States on the global stage. For some the flag may mean unity and patriotism. It represents freedom and bravery. But, in the past 10-15 years this original sense of freedom, bravery, etc, that most people attach to the flag has tarnished. The flag has started to represent a state of dillusion, a country with no direciton anymore.
