Parker Loera, a determined and hard-working guy, was born and raised in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is now a successful student at Gannon University, majoring in Nursing. Parker is an outgoing and very social guy that likes to hang out in large groups and loves to spend time with his family. He is a very athletic person and enjoys to watch and practice a lot of different sports. His family generation has strong Mexican roots from his great-grandfather and Croatian roots from his mother. Parker lived in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and went to Bethel Park High School, where he competed as a wrestler and played golf. The life of Parker Loera is surely interesting!

One of Parker’s toughest wrestling matches was against a significantly larger and competitive opponent who was well known and had a good reputation. In his first fight, Parker lost 8-0; he knew that if he trained, he could stand his ground. Parker, eager to achieve his goal, realized that he had to be diligent and work on his weaknesses to beat him. Parker worked hard and practiced tirelessly to improve and be more prepared for the next match; after all the hard work, he knew that he could potentially beat him. At the match, Parker made a huge comeback and was able to pin this rival, receiving the winning title.

Parker came to Gannon University for many important and clear reasons. He was introduced first to the university by his older cousin, who previously went to Gannon University and had a really good experience. However, the main reason for Parker to attend Gannon was the great programs of nursing and health and sciences that the university offers. His passion for the medical field stirred up in him the desire to pursue and study nursing; specifically, Parker has an incredible goal, which is to be an Anesthetist Nurse. Not only was he captured by the health and sciences programs, but also by the opportunity that he had to continue wrestling and, therefore, have the unique experience of representing Gannon University.

Parker is a family person; he cares and loves his family very much. Parker has a typical family, which is composed of his father, mother, brother, and his pet, a Labrador dog. Parker’s brother is older than him, and is pursuing his studies at Penn State University; he started studying the same major as Parker, nursing, but then, he decided to change his major to Physical Therapy. In the future, Parker wants a big, united family; he wants to have 2 to 3 kids and a dog. An interesting fact about Parker is that he has gone on many trips with his family, including the following: Cancun, Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Beaches of Outer Banks, and Virginia Beach.

Since that time, he has not looked back; he eventually decided to play for the school. Parker played in multiple, recognized high school tournaments and also represented the school in golf as well as in wrestling. A couple of his major accomplishments were that he once got a hole in one in a tournament, shot in the 70s twice, and had an average of a low 80s on 18, and mid to low 80s. In the future, Parker wants to become a professional nurse. He became a professional, triumphant wrestler; Parker went to the Olympics and won 2 Gold medals for the USA. He built a lucrative wrestling academy and gym. His impact was so big that Gannon University named a health studies building after him and even decided to build a massive, new hospital with his last name, Loera. With the help of his supportive brother, Parker built a very technological, emergency clinic; it became very prosperous and successful and helped a significant amount of people. He became a well-known nurse and was acknowledged for many of his studies and ideas. Parker began to spread his knowledge by giving speeches and teaching kids. He always wanted to go to Croatia because his mother is originally from there, and he finally got the amazing opportunity to go and enjoy the beautiful beaches and astonishing valley views. Lastly, Parker lived a very happy life after being gritty and doing heavy research in college here at Gannon University.
