dear shirley,

my name is kacey and im reaching out to you as a student from south west college dungannon as i will be taking part in work experience in todds leap. however, i do have a few questions for you before i start my work placement with yous. what time should i be excpected to be there and what time will i finish at? where should i go when i first come in? what is my dress code? what sort of thing will i be doing while there? will i be able to buy lunch or will i have to bring my own lunch? is any skills expected from me? thank you and im excitied to start my work experience with yous at todds leap

today was my first day at todds leap taking place in my work placement for the next two weeks. we got to work placement at 10am today we were then greeted by the staff at todds leap and where offered coffee and breakfast, we then went outside with the staff as they gave us our tour of their park and showed us all of their activities that they offer. we also gave them some input on what they should do for their eater trail as they wanted some new and different opinions from the public. before lunch then we helped out the staff with the maintenance of the park and helped them paint some of their bug and bird boxes. for lunch we drove in to ballygawley and got lunch however there was food back in the restaurant of todds leap for us. after lunch then we helped out the receptionist with overdue enquiries she had yet to reply to, we done this for about 3 hours and got a good bit of work done for her.

today we arrived at work placement for 10am again we went in and got out breakfast with the rest of the staff and today we were with the manager james, we straight away started in the office and james talked us through how their booking system works and we created a few fake booking to get the hang of taking a booking and giving prices to the customers. we worked on this for a few hours and then we went on lunch. after lunch we done another activity where we take record of all the sports clubs in the north of ireland that have booked with todds leap we then wrote down their conatct information and typed it all up on a document for the managers to work with.

today we arrived at work placement at 10am again and got out coffee etc., we then headed up to the office and we got started on some more work for the day, today we were able to answer phone calls and see what enquires or bookings people were looking to find out about, we then done an activity where we compared competitors of todds leap such as the jungle to todds leap, we compared the prices and the accommodation to see if there is anything else they can improve in their business to stay on top of their competition.

today we arrived at work placement at 10am as usual today, today we went and got our breakfast and started at around 10:30 up in the office just finishing our tasks off from the day before that we didn't get to finish. we then went for lunch and went and bought some chocolate for all staff at todds leap as a thank you for welcoming us, once we got back there was then a group that had activities today, this was a chior that came from Bangor and they are from Uganda and are travelling northern Ireland and showing off their singing skills. we helped them feel welcomed as they came in and then went on to the activities, I was on photography duties so I went around taking some action shots of the kids during their activities. after this we helped the staff clean up and sort out the harnesses etc. we then gave the staff their chocolate and said our goodbyes to work placement.
