CineSlider - All our moving shots used the slider and it was an amazing tool that made great shots and helped build that tension for the scene with Jeff and Sally. Setting up shots and exploring them creating stories with each shot, how characters feel is something i looked forward to.

Switching between shots - I wanted to complete these quickly, luckily we had the first day of rehearsal so I knew what was coming and where to position the camera, getting us on with filming easily.

Challenging part was the exposure as the day constantly changed from sunny to cloudy so having to adjust was necessary. Simply switch the baseplate around on the camera so when it’s on the tripod instead of leaning back and forth it leans left and right.

We created amazing shots, took our time and delivered great results. I saw a great level of dedication from our cast & crew, stuck with us and gave it their all.

We completed scenes 5, 6 and 7B. Filming the chase scene was a lot of fun and required a lot of concentration to achieve. We placed the camera onto the dolly track which remained on there until we wrapped up that scene as it was easier to transport around the park. Regardless this was fine, we pressed forward and made the shots on the shot list and with the extra time we had on our hands we made a couple extra shots just for a little extra flavour to see what works and doesn’t.

An issue we found here was the weather aside from it being cold the shots looked moody in the weather we had at the moment which was cloudy but as the day progressed it became sunny so we ended up reshooting the scene with the sun making the most of the blue skies and I prefer those shots. Now this isn’t entirely a bad thing or bad at all, because it was worth it, we created a lot for this scene, set changes, experimenting with the slider positioned on tripods. 

We brought in another tripod because the other had a faulty leg making it unsafe. But it helped create the opening shot for this scene which was intense & hilarious.
