The Ottoman Empire was founded by Osman the First. He was a leader in the Turkish tribe.
 2- We can connect to the Italian Renaissance because we continue to create theories as to the way the world works and discover new possibilities. We connect to the Ottoman Empire because when it was first formed, they continued to expand further and further, like our country continued to expand when it first started. 
 1- I think our next piece will be based around 1300-1700, which both the Italian Renaissance and the Ottoman Empire are occurring.
