A cart to the Freddy's Free Fall is falling to the ground, as a little girl is standing, frozen under the ride. The cart is falling to the ground due to the cable snapping. While everyone is standing around watching this happen, Eddie sprints forward to try to save the girl, but then he gets hit with the cart and dies. This point in the story is important because it shows Eddie's character, as a person. As, Eddie wants to help the little girl, and not see her die. Making him a savior to the little girl, if she survived it.

As Eddie stops at rides, which are roller coasters that day, the kids all want to ride with his, due to the kids liking Eddie. This scene is important because it shows how people are liked by others no matter what they do or who they are. Although Eddie isn't the most friendly looking person, he has a friendly personality. This is seen when Eddie is liked by young kids, who can get scared by things a lot.

Eddie is asked by the blue man of a roller coaster from the pier of Eddie's childhood, if the roller coaster, The Whipper, is still the fastest on earth. This just gives a familiar feeling since, Eddie is at the pier of his childhood, which is the blue man's heaven. This is important because as the two talk, the blue man talks about how heaven doesn't change and no one really looks down to see what is happening on earth. Showing how heaven is a personal place per person, with you meeting the person in their own personal heaven.

As the blue man finishes his side of the story of how he dies, Eddie believes that he is going to get payback from the blue man, as he basically killed the blue man. The blue man then tells Eddie how he isn't there for payback but to teach Eddie something. The blue man talks about how there aren't any acts that are random, but how everyone is connected. The blue man then gives the example of how life and death is connected. This is important because Eddie learns his first lesson, when being in heaven. Which is from one of the five people he will meet, so he will get five lessons in total.

As it was Eddie's goal to be able to build things, and during this time, war world two was going on. Eddie realized the business dropped at the pier during the war, with the only people going being kids and moms. When the kids ask Eddie to pick them up, the mothers of the kids would seem sad due to the person who usually does the lift is gone, to fight in the war. Eddie would leave soon to fight as well. This is important because it shows how people are missed by someone, a family member or friend when they leave to go to war. Which means Eddie will be missed when he leaves to join to fight in the war and those people would be sad, when they think of him.

Making Eddie doesn't really have a good relationship with his dad.

The park has been closed by the police so it was quiet at the park. The two talked with one another, but not a lot. As they both said to each other about how they couldn't sleep last night. This scene shows how things have changed on the earth, with things being different now in life for people who knew or didn't know Eddie. All in due cause of Eddie dying, things for other people will be different now.

This makes Eddie run into the flames to save this kid due the idea of children being innocent lives in a war. This shows how the life of citizens not involved in the war, especially children are innocent to the atrocities made during war.

Eddie and his captain are talking together after the captain tells Eddie how their unit escaped. Which is after when Eddie passed out, and the talk included how he (the captain) died. Eddie became very upset and started apologizing for how the captain died but the captain said it was a sacrifice. With the captain saying how sacrifice is a part of life, with giving examples. This is important because this is the second lesson Eddie learns. Also, it shows how giving up something of your life to do something for someone else, is always part of your life, no matter the size.

Eddie's father went to hit Eddie but Eddie defended himself for the first time. This makes Eddie's dad stop talking to Eddie because he thinks Eddie brought a hand to him. This is important because it shows the final straw that broke any relationship the two had, and it shows the strain the two have as a relationship.

In the end, Eddie says "It's fixed" to his dad, which ends the conversation. This is important because the saying Eddie says, is what he always said to his dad when he has fixed something and gave it to his dad. Which showed how Eddie finally understood what his dad did before his father died, and Eddie forgave his father.

Ruby then says to Eddie how he shouldn't hold the anger he has for his father because anger isn't hurting the other person, but anger hurt yourself. This is important because it is Eddie's third lesson, and it talks about how holding anger isn't good for you, so you should forgive the person instead.

This is important because all the items in the box, are from certain points in Eddie's life, and they all hold a meaning to Eddie in some way.

Also, the lesson talks about how love just changes to a memory, it doesn't just disappear, when it is lost love.
