I chose a vinyl record by one of my favorite rappers, A$AP Rocky, because one of the things I love the most is listening to music. I do it all the time: while doing homework, driving, taking a shower, going to sleep, and many other things.

I also chose this album because it is one of my favorites, and it belongs to one of the music genres I enjoy the most.

Outside of school, I like music, movies, and traveling.

The object I chose is a camera. It’s meaningful to me because I can capture spaces, moments, and details. It connects with my interests and the way I experience and document the world around me.

I chose my personal notebook, mostly because in this space i can express freely all my creative ideas and make them come true, through my own hand.

I use it to write about the research i do in fashion, history, and art, to sketch and, plan future projects. It's extremely important to me to have a place to save this, because I'm slowly creating an archive for myself.

I like to play bass, sing, watch movies and draw.

The meaningful objects I chose are my bass, since I love music, I cannot see a world without the power of slap and groove!

Also, I chose a postcard that was given to me by my parents when they were on a trip through Europe. In this case, the postcard reminds me of the cultural influences and impact other countries can have on people's lives, how we can capture the essence of a place through images and memories.

Hello, I chose muy guitar since i was very little i started practicing even though i didn't like it at the beginning, this instrument has taught me to be resilient, and that practicing its the only way yo pursue your dreams , by the way i just play Mexican regional music and i want to be as good as Ariel Camacho was.

I chose that camera because I like a lot the vibes it gives when you record a video or take a picture, I like a lot to take pictures of my friends so when the time passes I show them the photos I took of them to remember and also to show that we've changed a lot :)

I decided to share this photo for two reasons. First, I’m with one of my best friends. I love hanging out with her because she always says yes to every plan, even if she doesn't fully understand what it’s about. That’s why we always end up on cool adventures—mostly due to our own ignorance! 😅
​The second reason why this photo is special is because you can see my skateboard in the background. It’s very significant to me because it was the first thing I bought with the first paycheck from my first official job. Like a typical teenager, I had to fulfill the cliché and spend my first pay on something I’d always wanted, but my parents never bought for me when I was a child.

I chose my Inspire Award medal from a robotics competition, along with all the driver pins I earned during my last season as a participant.

FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) is a robotics competition where students design, build, and program robots to compete in different challenges. But for me, it became much more than just a competition. It was a space where I learned how to solve problems, think creatively, and keep going even when things didn’t work the first (or tenth) time.

During the Into the Deep season, my team and I spent months designing, building, testing, failing, and trying again. What made our journey even more special is that our team only had two members, which is very uncommon since most teams are much larger. There were moments when it felt overwhelming, when everything depended on just the two of us but that’s also what made every small success feel so meaningful.

Winning the Inspire Award, the highest and most prestigious award in the competition, was something I will never forget. It wasn’t just about having a good robot. It recognized our dedication, our teamwork, and everything we put into the process. It felt like all those long hours, frustrations, and sacrifices were finally seen and valued.

Each driver pin represents a competition where I was on the field, controlling the robot during matches. Every single one holds a memory: the nerves before a match, the adrenaline during it, and the feeling of either celebrating a win or learning from a loss. They remind me of how much I grew, not just as a competitor, but as a person.

This was also my final season competing, which makes these objects even more meaningful. They represent the end of an important chapter in my life, one full of challenges, growth, and unforgettable moments. When I look at them, I don’t just see awards or pins; I see effort, resilience, and a version of myself that learned to push beyond limits.

I chose to take photo with one of my calligraphy works.

For me and for some Asian people, calligraphy is an important way to relax and take a break from schoolwork or work. It really helps me practice having patience and focus. Because every stroke has to be done very slowly and carefully. You only have one chance to complete the work, if you make any mistake when writing you will have to give up everything you have wrote before in the paper. So, calligraphy has played a significant role in my spare time.

The second one (it's hard to distinguish because it is kinda big) is an acoustic panel I made by myself for one of my classes last semester. I find this panel really meaningful mainly because it took a lot of effort and knowledge to bring this to life, and because I enjoyed the process of making it very much. Also, this was one of the first classes and projects that were directly tied to my actual degree and it has become one of the most useful tools for both my academic life (mainly for recording and mixing) and for my future professional life.

Hello, so I chose as my meaningful object one of the most valuable possessions I have, if not the most valuable; it is a limited edition vinyl of my favorite band “Oasis” n.120 of 250, I chose this not because of its monetary value, but because of how the music of the band has influenced on my development as a person. I could say that in general, music has a always had an impact in my life, from getting influenced by the thoughts or feelings artists project in their music, to even acquiring my style in clothes or taste from the big artistic waves like britpop or grunge, a lot of my personality has been influenced by the music i’ve heard throughout the years, and personally, I believe music works like that for every single person that enjoys it, so in a certain way, music works as a bridge that unifies people from different cultures and backgrounds to enjoy something they love, and despite their differences they are bounded through that world that is music, that’s why it is so special to me.

I love listening to music, reading, spending time with my friends and family and learning about new things.

For my object chosen, I selected my iPad since I considered myself as an iPad kid; I love all the things I can do with it such as watching shows, drawing, listening to music and playing videogames. It has a really sentimental value for me since it is one of my lifesavers in terms of practical technology where I can do everything and enjoy spending my time.

I think the most relevant role of ballroom in my life has been connecting with others, dancing has opened me doors that i didn't even knew were to be opened.

Now dancing is an essential part of my life, i can't live without dancing even 5 minutes anywhere.

The meaningful object I chose is a unicorn plush from the movie Despicable Me. This plush has grown with me over time, since I’ve been “renewing” it as I’ve gotten older. Every time I go to Orlando, I make it a tradition to buy a new one. It may seem like a simple object, but it connects different stages of my life and holds memories from each moment.

This unicorn represents a safe space for me. It has a very strong sentimental value because it has been part of my life since I was 5 years old. Through different experiences and changes, it has remained a constant source of comfort. It reminds me of who I was, who I am, and how important it is to hold on to the things that bring us peace. In a world that is constantly changing, this small tradition helps me stay grounded and connected to myself.

I am very much excited to have this course. As a good internationalist student, intelligence and security are the two main things I love most about my career, and I long to become a intelligence analyst someday.

I am currently in my second semester of Mechanical Engineering. In my free time, I enjoy studying fashion and watching runway shows, as they inspire my creativity and allow me to explore a different side of my interests.

The object I chose is my MIDI controller. It is meaningful to me because I enjoy music production and use it as a creative outlet to express ideas and relax.

I chose my necklace because it is very special to me. It was a gift from my father. For him, it was a very precious and valuable necklace because it contains my grandmother’s ashes.

My grandmother was very important in my life. She used to take care of me after school. We watched movies together, she bought me toys, and she gave me money if I needed it. We were always together, and she was there for me whenever I needed her.

For me, it is very special that my father gave it to me because it makes me feel close to my grandmother and reminds me of her.

My favorites hobbies are playing football, sleep, listen music and also do excercise.

The object I chose is my watch. It was given to me by my dad on my 18th birthday, and as a fun fact, it was also the watch my dad wore when he married my mom. Nowadays, they are no longer married (thank god), even though it still has great sentimental value for me, more because my dad gave it to me than for any other reason.

It is very meaningful to me because I first read it when i was a kid and it really stuck with me; it is a very long series and it took a while for me to finish reading it so i basically grew up with the story and the characters and that was really important for me.

To talk a little bit more about myself, i love reading, even though recently i haven’t done it much because of school, i also love movies and that’s what i want to do for living, especially i would love to be a film director or a screenwriter. I also love drawing and writing and almost anything that has to do with art basically.
