In Germany, any taxpayer with a child gets 'Kindergeld' which is a child allowance you receive till the child is 18 years old from the government. And can continue till they're 25 if they still attend school. This is unnatural to the American Culture because not every american receives money for their children unless they apply for it.
2. Traditional engagement rings are a gold band, placed on the left hand during the engagement. But once you get married you then place it on the right hand. This is odd to us due to the fact that Americans place and keep theirs on the left hand, throughout.

In Denmark it is more common for men to be involved in raising their children than women. This is different compared to other countries because, in other countries women naturally raise their children. In Denmark it is also common that if you are invited to have dinner at someone's house to finish your plate because Danes do not like to waste food. This is different compared to other countries because, in other countries you only have to eat until you are full.
