AR Books In the Elementary Class

In our elementary classes we can integrate books that are more interactive for students. We can even help students find books that we think will peak their interest. In this we can make them want to read more. This can help their development being so young. Some students struggle to read the words so having pictures or anything visual can help them process the book easier when it's not only focused on the words.

AR stands for augmented reality. This is where we can integrate visual learning with books. In this we usually show videos or something visual to show the story. This can be helpful to those who struggle reading or have learning difficulties with words. We can use this to aid those students who struggle with this. This entails that we can ensure them their best learning experience for them.

In the classroom, we can use AR to show reading in a different way. This is used to show visually the book. We can do this through videos or picture books that tell the story themselves. We can use this to aid those struggling since some students learn differently. Some learn through videos, and pictures while some learn through words or hands on activities. This can aid those struggling since it is a different way of learning for those who struggle with certain kinds of learning.

Why should we integrate AR learning?

In classes we should integrate AR learning to help those struggling and to interest those who need extra interest in learning. This can be a way to help students learn about the books and peak their interest. As we teach students, we can see how their interest peaks with visual learning compared to learning through auditory learning.

We can do this through multiple different apps. We can use apps to help aid students in their struggle of reading. This can be done when we use apps to show how we see the world in real life. For example we can use the 360Cities app to show students where we live and show life. We can show students how other places look and make books come more alive through showing the cities they have been written in or about.
