School (Source 4, 5)
School life for teenagers during the Japanese occupation was very hard as they could not receive the proper education that supposedly should be given to them. This is supported by source 4 which shows teenagers being klept in a bomb shelter without any teachers, this tells me that they were unable to learn thoroughly only having to depend on each other or themselves. Thus, school lifer for teenagers during the Japanese occupation was tough as they had to learn in an environment that was not safe, foreign language and they were all cramped up in a bomb shelter living in fear.

Family (1, 2)
Family life like for the teenagers during the Japanese occupation was very demanding because teenagers was forced without a choice to get a job to support their family. This is supported by sources 1 and 2 which states food rationing, lack of food and poverty. In source 2, a young girl was forced to work because her mother was too old, "so the idea for me was to get a job." Thus, during the Japanese occupation teenagers had to already get a job, become hard-working at a young age and it was the only way to survive so their life was complicated and hard.

Economic (Source 3)
The economic situation was difficult for teenagers during the Japanese occupation as they had to had to be very hard-working at a young age which ruined their childhood. This is supported by source 3 which states, "I remember blisters and callouses formed on my hands from digging the soil and carrying hoes," this shows that they had to grow their own food as food was scarce. Thus, during the Japanese occupation it was hard for teenagers as this shows how much pain they had to suffer due to being poor as they had to carry out exhausting tasks at a young age to earn money for themselves and their family to survive.
