Starting from the assumption that the class is a "micro society", in which people live together with different individualities and histories, The inclusive class is the class in which you can become aware of your strengths and weaknesses and make sure that everyone can help you, with the different skills you have, to overcome difficulties together. An inclusive environment is not only one in which there are no architectural barriers but one in which we try together to break down barriers, through dialogue, mutual help, the desire to grow together.

An inclusive classroom is a learning environment that values and supports the diverse needs and abilities of all students. Here are some key features that contribute to an inclusive classroom:

Diversity and Respect: An inclusive classroom embraces and celebrates diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, language, religion, gender, ability, and other individual differences. It fosters an atmosphere of respect, where students and teachers appreciate and value each other's unique perspectives and contributions.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Inclusive classrooms employ the principles of Universal Design for Learning, which involve creating multiple pathways to learning that cater to various learning styles, abilities, and interests. Teachers provide diverse instructional materials, teaching methods, and assessment options to ensure all students can access and engage with the curriculum.

Differentiated Instruction: Teachers in inclusive classrooms employ differentiated instruction strategies to accommodate the diverse needs of students. They adapt and modify their teaching approaches, content, and assignments to meet individual students' abilities, learning styles, and interests. This may involve providing additional support, scaffolding, or extension activities based on student requirements.

Collaborative Learning: Collaboration is a fundamental aspect of an inclusive classroom. Students are encouraged to work together in various group activities, projects, and discussions. Collaborative learning promotes peer-to-peer support, social interaction, and the development of teamwork skills. It also allows students to learn from each other's experiences and perspectives.

Assistive Technology and Accommodations: Inclusive classrooms often incorporate assistive technology and accommodations to support students with disabilities or learning difficulties. This may include using screen readers, speech-to-text software, captioning, adjustable desks, and other tools that help students access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.

Positive Classroom Climate: Inclusive classrooms prioritize creating a positive and supportive classroom climate. Teachers establish clear expectations for behavior, promote kindness, empathy, and inclusivity among students, and address any instances of bullying, discrimination, or exclusion promptly and effectively. Students feel safe, valued, and comfortable expressing themselves and their opinions.

Ongoing Assessment and Feedback: Inclusive classrooms employ ongoing assessment strategies that go beyond traditional tests and exams. Teachers use formative assessments, project-based assessments, self-assessment, and other methods to gauge student progress and understanding. They provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students' learning and help them set and achieve goals.

Parent and Community Involvement: Inclusive classrooms actively engage parents and families in the learning process. Teachers maintain open lines of communication, provide regular updates on student progress, and involve parents in decision-making processes. Inclusive classrooms also foster connections with the broader community, inviting guest speakers, organizing field trips, and promoting community service opportunities.

An inclusive education for me looks like a safe place , a safe environment for the kids, where they can be themselves without obstacles. They are encouraged and helped to be a better version of themselves everyday. Moreover, inclusion means that even if they have special needs, they are accepted by the colleagues and the teacher. The teacher includes them into groups and treats them like every little kid in his classroom. This is real inclusion.

1. For me, there is no special design for an inclusive classroom because it has to adapt to any need pupils it welcomes can have at any time of the school year. Which means it can change, move on, adopting devices that works and removing other that failed... Because I don't think any teacher can find out the perfect inclusive classroom for once and all. But I do believe there's something essential an inclusive classroom has to be : welcoming, secure and offer the opportunity to every child to feel he belongs here and to feel free to open up.
2. I think some of the key features of an inclusive learning environment are :
- respect and cheerfulness
- room, brightness and quietness
- diversity of supports and ways of teaching, including collaboration with other people (as Inge Van Putte perfectly developped)
- Open mindedness.

It is especially important to pay attention to visual support within the class ( whether there is too much or too little stimulation), the seating arrangement in school desks is also important (children with specific learning difficulties, visual and hearing impairments generally sit closer to the teacher) It is also important to use the technological possibilities available to us, computers, presentations, assistive technologies for

students with greater difficulties, etc. Teachers should take care to be clear and understandable in the presentation of content, to approach students who need support and additionally explain content that is abstract to them.

An inclusive classroom is a classroom in which every child is welcomed and accepted as part of it.
The most important thing is for the classroom to be a positive environment in which children will learn, express their thoughts freely and their development will go upward.
Children with special needs in the inclusive school are accepted as the most normal, are included in the activities and show results.
Key features for an inclusive classroom, in my opinion, are:
1. Acceptance of a child who is different from other children.
2. Open communication with parents and getting to know the parents that there is a child with special needs in the school.
3. Realization of activities that interest the child with special needs and that are adapted for them
4. Changing the way of learning so that the child with special needs can follow (slower reading, braille alphabet, application of stories after pictures...).
5. Open and honest communication with the parents of the special child. (informing about his progress, what they can do...)
6. Encouraging independence in children with special needs.

Inclusive education is the most effective way to give all children a fair chance to go to school, learn and develop the skills they need to thrive.Keys to the success of creating an inclusive classroom include:
Students must be active - not passive learners.
Children should be encouraged to make choices as often as possible, a good teacher will allow students to spend some time making mistakes because some of the most powerful learning comes from taking risks and learning from mistakes.
Parental involvement is crucial.
Students with disabilities must be free to learn at their own pace and have accommodations and alternative assessment strategies to meet their unique needs.
Students need to experience success, learning objectives need to be specific, achievable and measurable and have some challenge for them.

Inclusive education is a complex approach and a key to form happy and supportive environment. Every child has the right to get equal education. Teachers and school authorities are responsible in this duty. However, because of the lack of proper technical and human resources, it's quite hard to guarantee equality at schools. Much more problems arise in everyday practice. As I stated above, it's fairly complicated issue.

For me, an inclusive school is an environment in which:
1) All children are accepted and feel loved and respected, and there is empathy between the teachers and the children.
2) There is a correct selection of didactic materials that can be used by all children
3) A correct choice of teaching and educational activities is made.
4) Friendship between children is encouraged even though a child has special needs.
5) There is a special place in the classroom for relaxation with designated visual aids.
6) There are not too many bright colors in the school (children with special needs are considered).

Key features in an inclusive classroom are: acceptance, empathy, development support for children with special needs, encouragement to learn a new way of communication (for example sign language), continuous upgrading of knowledge and skills....
