None by None is One? I have here 2 statement, first is "If we divide 8 by 4 the answer would be 2 because 4 times 2 is equal to 8 and so for 0 times 0 is 1 beacuse 1*0 is 0. For the second statement, In the concept of fraction which is any number over itself is equal to one except zero becauseit would be undefined. These statement were just some of reasons in the debate of 0/0 is equal to 1. " IN THE MATHEMATICAL EXPRESSION 0/0=1 ARE YOU AGREE WITH THAT? EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER. by Art

In the context of mathematical principles, the expression 0/0 is not considered equal to 1. This is because division by zero is undefined in standard arithmetic, as it violates the fundamental rules of well-defined operations. The idea that any number divided by itself equals 1 does not apply when both the numerator and the denominator are zero, as this leads to an indeterminate form. Additionally, if we were to accept 0/0=1, it would introduce logical inconsistencies, such as implying that 1 • 0 = 1 , which is not true. Therefore, 0/0 remains undefined in mathematics to maintain the integrity of numerical operations , avoid contradictions and misconceptions.

No, I do not agree that 0/0 = 1. In math, division means splitting a number into equal parts. For example, 8 ÷ 4 = 2 because 4 × 2 = 8. However, 0 ÷ 0 is different because any number multiplied by 0 is still 0, making it impossible to find a single correct answer. This is why 0/0 is called "undefined" in math, it does not have a clear or consistent value. The second statement is correct that any number divided by itself is 1, but 0 is a special case that does not follow this rule. Therefore, 0/0 is not equal to 1. It's undefined.

I don’t agree that 0 divided by 0 equals 1 because mathematically, division is the reverse of multiplication. If we say 8 ÷ 4 = 2, it makes sense because 4 × 2 = 8. Now, if we assume 0 ÷ 0 = 1, then that means 1 × 0 should give us 0, which is correct. But here’s the problem—any number multiplied by 0 also results in 0. This means that 0 ÷ 0 could be anything, not just 1, making it unclear and ambiguous.

Another reason why 0 ÷ 0 isn’t simply 1 is because of how fractions work. Normally, when we divide a number by itself—like 5 ÷ 5 or 10 ÷ 10—we always get 1. But 0 is a special case. If we allow 0 ÷ 0 to be 1, then why not 2, or 3, or any other number? This is why in math, we don’t just assign a value to 0 ÷ 0—we call it "indeterminate." It’s not that it has no answer, but rather that it has too many possible answers, making it impossible to define with a single number.

No, just like some other mathematical expressions, not because there is a reasonable explanation for that, it means it will be like that. Think always that when it comes to math, there are limitations and restrictions especially when it comes to 0.

This is just from my opinion. If 0÷0 = 1, and we apply it to real life scenario, dividing nothing by nothing doesn't make any sense. How can we have a something if we are dividing nothing by nothing? It's like saying if i don't have an apple and I divide it by also having no apple, I'll have an apple. See? None of these make sense, that's why for me, 0÷0≠anything.
