Puis l’après-midi, nous avons eu quartier libre dans Liège, pour explorer les rues et les galeries marchandes. Quelques-uns ont aussi visité la cathédrale de Liège, pendant que d’autres sont allés au Burger King. Le soir nous avons passé une formidable soirée avec les Néerlandais, les Belges et les Allemands, nous avons aussi bien mangé, bien dansé et SURTOUT bien chanté. Nous avons aussi échangé avec beaucoup d’étrangers. On a de nouveaux amis.

Quelle semaine pleine d’émotion et de recueillement pour lui rendre hommage, car derrière ces sourires se cache évidemment beaucoup de tristesse.
De plus, lors de cette semaine, les élèves ont eu l’occasion de travailler sur leur projet écologique en visitant des éoliennes, le parc national de Vogelsang et la ville de Cologne. Ils ont également découvert les installations écoresponsables de l’école de Blankenheim et reviennent avec plein d’idées à appliquer dans leur école.  
Une semaine riche en enseignement et en émotions que ces élèves n’oublieront très probablement jamais !

Ce matin nous avons été divisés en 3 groupes mélangés avec les autres pays. En début de journée chaque groupe a fait une activité différente que les autres n’ont pas eu l’occasion d’expérimenter : visite d’un centre de biométhanisation, visite d’un centre de traitement des déchets verts et enfin fabrication de tawashi (des éponges écologiques) et de bee-wraps (emballage en tissu ciré pour remplacer le film plastique alimentaire). A midi nous avons eu l’occasion de manger dans la cantine du collège Athénée Royal de Soumagne, la nourriture y était très bonne et variée, on pouvait choisir entre différents plats et desserts et on pouvait même se resservir. Puis l’après midi nous avons fait d’autres activités : on a visité le fameux collège très porté sur l’écologie et on a fabriqué un bee-wrap. Quelques élèves ont eu le droit à une expédition dans la ville de Soumagne à la recherche d'une brosse à dents car une élève avait oublié la sienne. On en a trouvé une dans un Aldi belge.
A demain pour d’autres aventures. 
Ps : l’eau est coupée mais ça devrait se régler de toute façon on dort dans un château.

Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und das ist unser Plastikmüll/gelbe Tonne der letzten zwei Wochen.
Es ist schon sehr erschreckend, wenn man sieht, was man alles so verbraucht. 

Es muss was passieren!

Kann man etwas ändern und auch nur wenn es kleine Schritte der Veränderung sind, kann es helfen, unsere Umwelt plastikfreier erscheinen zu lassen!
Wir sind dabei und werden in Zukunft noch mehr darauf achten und bewusster im Umgang mit Plastik sein!

Dezember besuchten die am Projekt Umweltdetektive beteiligten Lehrer das Vitus College in Bussum. Die Lehrer kamen mit dem Zug aus Frankreich, Deutschland und Belgien. Der Bahnhof und das Hotel waren von der Schule aus zu Fuß zu erreichen, und bei einem Besuch mit dem Stadtbus nach De Groene Afslag haben wir kein Auto gebraucht. Wunderbar nachhaltig!

Während des fünftägigen Besuchs unserer Kollegen aus Ruffec, Soumagne und Blankenheim haben wir unser zweijähriges Projekt eingehend bewertet. Außerdem wurden die Lehrer von einigen Schülern der 3. Klasse in englischer Sprache durch die Initiativen geführt, die dank des Projekts Umweltdetektive entstanden sind, wie z.B. Wasserhahn, Obstbäume, Gemüsegarten, Mülltrennung, Kantine mit alternativen vegetarischen Sandwiches. Die Lehrer besuchten auch den Informatikunterricht, den Kunst- und Designunterricht und die Chemieabteilung, wo sie die Möglichkeit sahen, ihre eigene DNA-Forschung in der Schule durchzuführen. Im Rahmen des Robotikunterrichts entwirft die Klasse 6 eine sprechende Mülltonne. Der Austausch zwischen unseren Schulen wurde mit den Lehrern der Fächer Englisch, Deutsch, Französisch, Geschichte, Geografie und der Schulverwaltung ausführlich erörtert. Diese könnten im August/September 2023 und danach stattfinden, sobald wir wissen, ob wir die Erasmus+-Akkreditierung erhalten haben. 

Am Mittwochnachmittag besuchten wir De Groene Afslag (https://degroeneafslag.nl/), wo uns der Geschäftsführer eine Führung durch die Initiativen für eine nachhaltige Zukunft gab. De Groene Afslag ist ein Treffpunkt für Menschen, die Geschäfte machen, bauen, essen und anders zusammenarbeiten wollen. Sie arbeiten mit Organisationen zusammen, die nachhaltige und integrative Anstrengungen in den Bereichen Energie und Arbeit unternehmen. Der Besuch wurde mit einem köstlichen veganen Mittagessen abgerundet. Fleisch und Milchprodukte kommen in ihrer Küche nicht vor. Inspirierender Besuch.

Der Purple Friday fiel auf den letzten Börsentag. Der Tag, an dem die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Gleichstellung der Geschlechter und die Integration gelenkt wird. Dieser Tag wird am Vitus College ausgiebig gefeiert. Die ganze Schule ist in Lila getaucht, überall hängen Regenbogenflaggen und ein Anti-Mobbing-Projekt ist im Gange.

Alle 8. Klassen hatten 3 Workshoprunden zu den Detailthemen `Ernährung und Emotionen`, `Was befindet sich in meiner Nahrung?` und `Was sind die Inhaltsstoffe der Süßigkeiten im Automaten?`.
