He also meets the snakes in the garden which helps support the main conflict of Rikki vs Nag and Nagiana for it he hadnt meet them there would be no main conflict. Without these main and key events the main  conflict would not have been complete and maybe there wouldnt be a main conflict. It also helps support the fact that Rikki will later kill Nagaina and the eggs which helps end the main conflict. This part of that story influences Rikki because It gave him a reason why he should  be the one to protect the garden and every one in it. Rikki would have to face multiple cobras and a little mongoose cant face that many cobras without him smashing the eggs, they would've hatched and start feeding on the eggs and probably harm the animals and the family just as Nag and Nagaina did it would be to much for Rikki to face. This also influences the conflict of Rikki v Nag and Nagaina because Nagainas eggs were one of the main key parts of the story, they wanted their eggs to grow up in a quiet environment. This effects the main conflict because,Nagaina being a antagonist is still part of the main problem so it effects it because she would need to be killed to end the main conflict. Without this event the main conflict would still not be resolved. As an antagonist Nagaina had to be killed to end the main conflict or else the ending would not be true or able to believe.
