I think the against team has the stronger argument because from the first round, their evidence and argument are much more cohesive than that for team. The for team's lack of statistics and number to back up their claims about their solution make them weaker, while the against's teams numbers support their argument well. Many arguments and claims made by the for team are not backed up with evidence, and remain as claims, making the against team's argument stronger and more persuasive.

The against team so far has the best argument because they have stronger more relevant facts and have presented their ideas clearly. The for team has some statistics however they aren't always using them to back up claims.

the agaisnt team has a stronger argument because they first give more statstical evidence then the for team does. and the agaisnt team also counters most of the for evidence. they are using there statistical evidence to back up there claim and counter the for teams claim.

I think that the against team is at an advantage at the moment. They came out with strong evidence right away and brought up multiple different viewpoints. The for team started by just making some broad comments and didn't use any specific evidence to back up their points. Overall, right now I agree with the against team because they have had more strong and persuasive evidence.

The against team presented the strongest, most persuasive argument. The had much more specific claims and points of evidence and they addressed most of the opposing viewpoints and rebutted them.

I believe that the against team has the stronger argument. I believe this because both speakers gave clear cut claims, and instantly gave strong evidence with percentages, numbers to back it up. Also the clarity in the argument by the against team made their points much more persuasive to me.

I think the against team has a better argument at the moment because, especially with the last woman, the facts were presented very clearly with data that made a lot of sense to support what she was saying about wealthier people likely benefiting from the proposition more. She also used pathos to make the audience think about what it would be like with college tuition inflation due to the proposition.

On paper, I would say that AGAINST team is stronger so far because they have more quantitative evidence than the FOR. The FOR team talks a lot about how canceling student loan debt is important to combating systemic racism, but they don't offer a great explanation on how it will do that. On the AGAINST team, they make it clear that canceling debt entirely will only benefit the wealthy. However, the first speaker for the AGAINST team made some weak arguments, such as when he says that people with degrees can pay off their loans naturally, even though this isn't the case for everyone with a degree. Unless the FOR team can convince us that systemic racism is the biggest issue that we need to solve, I think the AGAINST team has the upper hand here.

I thought the team arguing against cancelling student debt overall had a stronger argument than the for team. The for team really had a lack of detail when explaining things, notably when they talked about cancelling debt would help minorities, but they don't dive into the numbers and actually explain how minorities will be effected. The against team did a good job of counter-arguing against this, and they also used statistical evidence a lot more in their arguments.
