- compartir recursos y herramientas

A key question that has already emerged in the run up to San Jose is whether the space we have created is exclusive. How could we ensure that a key working principle of CS2015 is to co-produce our future events with people living at the sharp end of social and environmental problems? Could we learn from the Participatory Action Research movement that has been influential on some key civil rights struggles across the world? These kinds of questions are already likely to have emerged at session 1D "Re-imagining Citizen Science for Knowledge Justice" and 1B "Creating a welcoming, inclusive, diverse and just CSA". Perhaps an additional session on the theme of "who is missing?" could help us to ensure that our research learns from previous attempts at building in democratic safeguards and, in doing so, helps build a stronger "citizen science" community . The picture below is taken from PublicScienceProject.org.
