Yes, i would enjoy going to the game arcade. Game arcades usually have a variety of games for us to choose from. Going to the game arcade can allow us to release stress and is also a great leisure activity. When i was younger, I used to meet up with my friends after school to go to a game arcade nearby. We usually go there to relax and release stress after a tiring day at school. Since we go there regularly, we have a card that is topped up with money that we can use to play the games there. My friends and i like to play the air hockey game and the basketball game together. For air hockey, we split up into groups and each team goes to one end of the air hockey table. Both teams would need to defend their own goals and try to hit the disk into the other team's goal. As for the basketball arcade game, we would need to throw the basketballs into the hoop as many times as possible to get a good score. Even though i dont really go to the game arcade that much now, my friends and i still go there if we have the time. Playing arcade games with my friends really helped me make more memories with them!

I disagree that gaming is a bad thing and can only lead you to become addicted to it because gaming actually benefits to person by increasing their alertness and attention. I have read that brain sciences actually made their patients who suffered from reduced reaction speed to play video games for around 10 hours a day. it sounds jarring of course but it actually increases your attentiveness and reflexes as well. hence in actuality it actually benefits those in need of help and it's not that bad after all.

Secondly, not everyone is the same. there are definitely those who play games a little too excessively but the majority place in moderation. However, those to play excessively usually have a high tendency to have cultivated an addiction. Luckily, the majority knows when to stop at a certain point. Why? Well it's usually the case of having loads of work from school or even tuition classes. Hence, those who are disciplined are most likely prone to not playing too much and most likely play only out of leisure.

In conclusion, I think that gaming addiction is not based solely on gaming but on the individual themselves. Personally, I play mini games doing my breaks between study I do this to unwind and have a breather from the stresses from school or from doing my revision for the O-levels. I know myself to be disciplined enough to remind myself when I should and should not game. unlike most people that I know, they take the gaming a bit too seriously and for example if they die in the game because your friend killed them they begin to argue and cause a scene in real life, which I find is a bit too exaggerating. It seems as though they've lost their grip on reality and hands break loose when it comes to winning a game. overall I feel gaming is a double-edged sword, it can be used for medical research but I can also cause those who are too influenced to be drifted away from reality.

A game that I am really interested in would be the game of basketball. Basketball is a dynamic sport which requires you to be good in many different areas in order to be an elite player. For example , you cannot just be good at dribbling but not know how to shoot, if not you will be unable to score. You need to be strong in every area to be a complete player. The foremost reason why I am interested in basketball would be due to the fact that it not only trains the body but the mind. In a basketball match, you need to analyse and survey the area, where your teammates are , where the defenders are, where the ball is. On offense , we must be able to sell fake moves effectively and read the defender's reaction to our moves. If they open up too much to the left, that means that you can drive to your left side as the defender does not have enough time to recover. We must also make smart and decisive plays which boils down to your knowledge about the game and who your opponents are. This helps to improve my day-to-day decision- making process as I would always predict the possible outcomes of my actions before doing it Playing basketball helps to train the body also. One full match of basketball consists of players running up and down a 28m court while still having to dribble the ball and defend. Hence, your stamina must be good in order to keep up with the rest of the players. Some players might be physically larger than the rest and use their height and mass to their advantage by pushing you around with their great mass. Thus, you must do forms of weight training to avoid being too small. To have quick and fast movements around the floor, one should do some polymetric exercises to loosen up their joints and be able to perform explosive movements. This helps me to improve my fitness while also having fun in the process.
The next reason is that basketball is a game which involves teamwork. In basketball, we have 4 teammates for a reason . They are there to help us win and thus we must work together as one. The outcome of a match depends on the team chemistry- How well are the teammates able to make plays together? How can they all make full use of each other ? How will they help their teammates to improve ? . If players do not coordinate, there would be no individual success and team success. If everyone is selfish and wants to hog the ball by themselves, how about the other teammates? To win a basketball match, we must first draw out plays with our teammates and pass the ball around . Even if there is a teammate who is better than you, it does not necessarily mean that he must have possession of the ball throughout the 12 minutes. Basketball has developed my leadership skills overtime as I have learnt how to instruct others what to do while explaining to them the reason behind it.
This reminds me of a time when I was in secondary 1. mY CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AROUND ME HAD ALWAYS BEEN PLAYING BASKEtball and would often invite me to play with them. STarting off as a novice, I could not even master the basic skills required- I could not dribble the ball for not more than 5 consecutive times, I was unable to shoot the ball accurately into the hoop, I also could not determine what plays to make. However , with the help and support I received from my friends, they taught me more about the game and how to get better. I would often ask them in which areas needed improvement and they would always constructively give feedback. Going home everyday after school, I would always watch some NBA highlights of my favourite players - LeBron James , Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and more. I would often see that they did spectacular plays and signature moves and I would try to recreate it on the court. One of my favourite moves would be the " Fadeaway " from Kobe Bryant. Seeing the way he handled the ball and shot it was like a work of art. It was done in a very majestic manner which had always left me in awe. The "fadeaway" is a shot where you would most likely turn around and fall backwards while shooting, this is an effective move to get a shot off against a taller or longer defender. Everyday after school , I would follow my group of friends to go to the nearby sheltered court to play basketball and compete against older players or players from other schools. I always found it fun as playing against strangers as it was always a challenge for me to overcome. This really tested my skills and my knowledge - how well i could apply what i learnt in a real match. Basketball is also my passion and it will always be an indispensable part of my life.

i disagree.
firstly, gaming improves our eyesight. in a study done by vision scientists, people who played video games from 5 to 15 hours a week were found to have better vision compared to those who did not, with them being able to determine little details in a messy environment as well being able to differentiate different levels of gray. hence the myth that gaming will make your eyesight worse is false

secondly, gaming provides a way for people to interact with each other in a online virtual environment, as they work together toward completing common tasks. for example, Minecraft which is a game about surviving in an open sandbox world while having the freedom to build anything you want has an education edition where teachers in schools can use the game as an education platform, which can help bridge the learning gap between students and the topics they are learning. teachers can create worlds in which they can create unique structures to help express the ideas learnt in a topic in ways that can be much easier to understand for students. this unconventional way of learning can also be very rewarding to those who might not have large social circles and might want to find some friends to connect to in their class or are those who want to connect with people who may have difficulties in communicating in traditional ways, like children with autism.
however, gaming can also be addictive due to how accessible it is, with the rise in availability of mobile devices. these gaming addictions can be coping mechanisms for other serious mental health issues like anxiety depression which is very unhealthy for our mental health and school or work in the long run.

even though gaming can be addictive, these people who play video games to mask other serious issues in their life is the small minority, with most people being able to manage their daily stress and work while balancing their gaming time. the large majority can help these people who struggle with gaming addictions can take some measures to improve their quality of life and aim for better daily routines such as being a listening ear and understanding their issues or helping to manage their time spent on gaming or media. hence, if played in the right amount, gaming is still very beneficial to our body and mind, thus i disagree.

A game that I am really interested in is Minecraft. Minecraft is a single and multiplayer games where there are different game modes such as the creative mode and the survival mode. In creative mode, players get to use any blocks in minecraft to build buildings, houses and more. In survival mode, the objective is to defeat the enderdragon which is the boss monster in the game. To do that, players have to find resources like wood and iron to build tools and weapons to defend themselves against other monsters in the game. I enjoy this game because it allows me to explore different areas in the world where there are different biomes such as forests, plains, desert and mountains.
Another why I enjoy it is because I get to built my own virtual life in a virtual world. This game has many benefits.
Firstly, it boosts my creativity. Minecraft allows me to widen my imagination of how things can be built and now I can think out of box when it comes to solving problems.
Secondly, it allows me to improve my social skills. Since Minecraft has a multiplayer mode I can play with my friends.
Thirdly, Minecraft helps in my hand eye coordination. When playing I have to move my fingers without looking at them so this helps me to multitask.

firstly, i agree that gaming is a bad thing bc you can become addicted to it. when you get addicted, you could suffer from mental disorders and illnesses. some experts have said that video games can have the same addictive qualities as drugs or alcohol. the world health organisation has recently announced that the addition of gaming disorders as an illness. excessive gaming could also mask mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also known as ADHD. hence, gaming addiction is very bad for our mental health.

another reason why I agree is because gaming takes precedence over nearly everything. I remember reading an article where a psychiatrist, dr Scott, said kids with gaming disorders will play through meals and play late into the night. some even go days without bathing. their relationships, school and work will suffer and they may lie about how much they are playing. as a result, they would lose many valuable relationships and develop a lack of motivation to complete tasks or set future goals.

however. gaming may also not be a bad thing. in fact, when it comes to action video games, like Apex or Call of Duty, screen time actually doesn’t make our eyesights worse, but it actually improves it. in a study done by a scientist, it was found that people who play video games from 5 to 15 hours a week had better vision than those who don’t play games. for example, people who play video games frequently was found to be able to resolve different levels of gray, while most of the people who don’t play couldn’t. hence, gaming could actually benefit us by improving our vision.

although I agree that gaming can be very good in improving our eyesight, video games give these users a social outlet so that they do not have to leave their house.

in conclusion, gaming addiction could cause mental illnesses and may cause people focus on gaming so much that they forget about the tasks they need to finish and even their future. in my opinion, I think it is important to know how to self discipline and know how to control oneself. I have a younger brother and he loves playing computer games. when he was around 12 years old, he played computer games every day and night and did not study when he needed to do so. however, as he grew older, he got bored of playing games and decided that his studies should be prioritised. hence, i could see him playing video games less frequently now and i could see him studying more these days. playing video games could help with the improvement of our eyesight, but games should be played in moderation. this way, we could avoid gaming addiction.

I disagree that gaming cause us to be addicted. Although the World health organization has said that gaming disorder is an illness, but to me I find that there is actually more good benefit that harmful effects on us
Gaming can improve our eyesight. In a study done by vision scientists, it was found that those u play games for more than 5 hours, have vision that are actually really good. it not only helps them to resolve small details in the context of clutter but also help us to better able to resolve different levels of grey clearly. Therefore, gaming is not bad as the myth of it hurting our eyes.
Gaming can also improve ones memories as there are some role playing game (RPG) that require us to remember. Some RPG games has a long list of items to be collected so as to unlock the next stage or quest. Some may even have specific combination so it would help a lot with our memory to remember the requirements.
Some people, however, get addicted to some games. It happens when they are too serious and too dedicated to the game, making them play for many hours and not knowing when to stop. It is somewhat like a psychological thinking where they find joy when they play the game. Hormones simulating happiness are released more when they win or accomplished the game, this cause them to be addicted to the game
All in all, it is the person that is the problem and not the game itself. Some people can play for long hours and are actually addicted. Personally, I am not addicted although I do play for long hours but i know when to stop and am aware not to let gaming to precedence over my daily life. Especially my O levels are coming, I have to focus on revising so I play less games. People who do have gaming issue should seek help at an early stage and not give into gaming or it can not only cause the game to have a bad reputation but also can ruin their relationship be it with friends or family.

I agree as with games being extremely accessible on mobile phone and free-to-play games filling up the play stores, gaming addiction has been on the rise. Statics shows that 10 percent of gamers have compulsive addiction issues. And on may 25, the World Health Organization has adopted 'gaming disorder' as a behavioral addiction. According to WHO. to be classified as one, one must have the inability to stop playing even if it interferes with important areas such as daily lifestyle, relationship, school, work and sleep and it has to persist for a week. And this is something I have experienced firsthand before. If I recalled, when I was in Primary 5, I just got my first phone. I soon found many fun games to spent my time and soon got addicted to it. It then slowly affected my family relationship and exam results. As my father was concerned with my sudden drop of grades, he started reprimanding me for gaming for too long and not being focused on my studies. But I just couldn't stop playing my phone even though I knew it severely affected my grades. As last time, before I received a phone, my grades were quite good. But after I received a phone, I began to study lesser and lesser until there is an obvious drop in my marks. This caused my parents to be worried over me and this created tension between my family relationship.

However, gaming can improve object tracking ability and increase reaction time. As in many first person shooter, there are many enemies in a large map and some maps are designed to be dark, which causes some characters' outfits to blend in with the environment, making it harder to spot them. This increases our eyesight and after we spot the enemy, we need to swiftly react to kill that enemy we just spotted before he kill us, and this also increases our reaction time.

In conclusion, I still agree that gaming is bad due to addiction. But if played in moderation, gaming addiction can be avoided and gaming can be fun and safe for everyone.

I would enjoy going to the game arcade like the one in the picture. The children in the picture gave off a joyous atmosphere as they played air hockey against their friends. They looked carefree as they had a big smile plastered on their faces. Their excitement reminds me of the merry times when I played at the game arcade. Both me and my friend wanted to get away from the hectic pace of life thus we both decided to visit the game arcade during the weekend, when there was no school hence there is a lot of time available to spend on leisure activities. I vividly remember the rush of adrenaline I got from the impact when the puck hits the air hockey pusher. In addition, air hockey is played on a frictionless table hence the puck moves quickly across the table, giving me a thrilling experience when I get into a defense position to protect my side of the table. Moreover, playing arcade games is a great way to have a wonderful time and strengthen my bonds with my friends and family. At the end of the day, not only am I able to enjoy myself and relax, I am also able to win attractive prizes in exchange for tokens I collected while playing the various arcade games. The arcade is a truly delightful place to create cheerful memories and I would always cherish those fun-filled trips.

I would enjoy going to the game arcade like the one in the picture. Firstly, the picture shows a young boy and girl in a game arcade playing air hockey. A blissful bright smile was attached to both of their faces when they were playing and they looked like they were having a really good time at the arcade. If I were to visit a game arcade, I would also feel very excited and euphoric. A game arcade has a wide array of games to offer. Since I was young, my parents have always frequently brought me to different game arcades in Singapore to explore since spending time in game arcades has always been a great leisure activity for them to relieve their stress.. All of the game arcades are unique in terms of the games selection and its style; for example, some arcades may offer more competitive games such as shooting games or driving games. On the other hand, some may offer more redemption games. Redemption games are generally games of skill that reward players for achieving higher scores. Such games include the NBA hoops or the minion whacker. However, after all these past experiences of visiting different game arcades, my favourite has got to be the claw machine. The nervous excitement of thinking whether it will drop out of the machine or remain unchanged is truly what keeps me coming back for more. Going to a game arcade is also a good way for me to bond and interact with my family members. As my parents are working from day to night, there is hardly any time for us to bond as a family. Therefore, going to a game arcade with my family on alternate weekends truly allowed us to strengthen bonds between one another as a game arcade has family arcade games such as racing and air hockey.

The game that I am interested in is osu. Osu is a rhythm game that involves clicking circles to the beat of the music to pass a certain level in the game. I was first introduced to this game by a friend of mine and I was easily fascinated by the simplicity of the game and how I can slowly improve with practice. Over time I learned that you can find many different genres of music to play. Nowadays I use this platform to find many anime songs and classics to try out and enjoy.

This game actually has many benefits.

Firstly, osu has helped me to better track objects as during the game I need to track the circles that pop up on the screen, hence making me more observant and aware of my surroundings. With such skill, I can actually help the people around me. For example, one time I spotted a disabled aunty going up the escalator, and I assisted her on the way up to the bank.

Osu also improves my overall reaction time as the circles can pop up at any time and anywhere hence focusing you to react faster so as to not miss any circles. Being able to track better and react faster helped me with other games such Call of Duty. I was able to see an enemy in the distance before they detected me.

Secondly, osu improved my accuracy. Without accuracy you will not be able to click on the circle on time thus having a possibility to fail that level. As the level increases, accuracy becomes more important to survival. Thus improving my accuracy is a must. Accuracy helps me with better aiming, thus during CCA, I was able to hit the shuttlecock accurately and not miss during a game.

Lastly, Osu helped improve my rhythm. I play the guitar and having a good rhythm is essential. Thus, due to the game I can count the beat of a song better and I can strum accordingly. I do see an improvement as I can play harder songs compared to last time.

After putting in the hard work practising all the skills, pass all the grades. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. As I see my grade improve from a D to C and all the way to S, I feel extremely happy as all the effort pays off. I'm able to look back to my old game play and I can see huge improvement and it drives me to want to play more.

I would not enjoy going to the games arcade as much as playing games at home as I feel that playing games online have a wider variety of games and have a different feel compared to going to a games arcade. Going to a games arcade requires you to pay for each games you play and most of the games will only last up to 5 minutes, in addition, the games there are very limited unlike playing games online where you can explore and find the games that suits you. For me personally I find that playing games at home is an easier thing to do, as I can easily find many people to play with. Arcades games only ranges from one to three players but online games can host up to the required amount depending on the game you are playing. However, if any of my friend or family invites me to play at a games arcade, I would do so as the feeling of playing at a games arcade is different from playing games online, as we can see each other's face and will have a feeling similar yet so different from playing games online.

If I were one of the people in the video, I would feel very excited because inside an arcade there are many game machines to choose and play especially when I go with my friends. One of my favourite games in the arcade is the racing machine. It is nothing compared to playing mario kart on a console. The machine has a steering wheel to control the movement of the car. Also, able to play alongside with my friends, hearing them get angry and competitive when someone overtakes them makes the game more exciting. However, June holidays has just ended which means my friends and I are all busy with our studies hence, we wouldn't have the time to visit the arcade often anymore.

I disagree that gaming is a bad thing because you can get addicted to it. Studies suggest that gaming disorder affects only a small percentage of people who participate in digital or video gaming activities. Experts have also said that no more than three percent of all gamers have an issue. For me, I rarely game but when I game, it helps me to relieve my stress and at the same time, it helps me to bond with my friends. These are especially true during this covid-19 pandemic period where I am not recommended to go out and bond with my friends. Gaming for awhile online is a good way to help strengthen my friendship with the friends whom I cannot meet as often.
Hence, gaming is actually not a bad thing as getting addicted to it is not common and vast majority of gamers are gaming at an acceptable rate.
Adding on, gaming is only a problem when gaming takes precedence over everything else and affects their health mentally or physically. Gaming is surprisingly beneficial and not a bad thing for gamers playing at moderation.
Next, gaming can help to increase one’s concentration and reaction time. For gamers who play action games, they are required to react and press buttons as soon as they spot their enemies approaching. In the long run, with these ‘concentration or reaction time practices’ , gamers are able to resolve and pick up small details in the context of clutter , be able to react to any sudden physical changes in the real world as well as increase their observation skills.
Another reason why I disagree that gaming is a bad thing and you can get addicted to it is because gaming can help gamers feel instant gratification as well as temporarily disconnect from the real world and take a break. These can be easily attained especially when gamers accomplish feats that are seemingly unachievable. As so, gaming is sometimes vital to people who are going through stressful times in their lives.
However, to a small minority group of gamers, gaming could be a bad thing and harmful to them if they are addicted to it. Addictive gaming can be detrimental to ones mental and physical health in a long run, hindering development of valuable relationships alongside. For example, some gamers would neglect social interactions with their friends or even family. But this problem can be resolved with the help of online resources geared for gamers fighting their addiction and also camps that help youths or gaming addicts to overcome and improve their harmful addiction. Hence, I still disagree that gaming is a bad thing.

i disagree that gaming is a bad thing. numerous studies have shown that gaming brings about many great benefits that impacts on our everyday lives.

firstly, gaming allows us to improve on our hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes. So for students who play first-person-shooter games, like Call Of Duty, are actually at an advantage when it comes to taking down notes while listening to the teacher in class. for anyone who does physical sports activities like basketball, they are able to play and strategize better.

secondly, choice-based games, like Life is Strange, give players a better sense of self and improved emotional stability. We are able to choose our own desired storyline, which allows us to feel more immersed in the game, making it more personalized. This is extremely helpful in real life situations where we are required to make different decisions, whether it is risky or not.

On the other hand, gaming is a bad thing as we can get addicted. An addiction to gaming is the prolong use of games where it becomes uncontrollable. Gamers who overdo gaming are more distracted and are unable to balance work and play. Because they are so addicted to the games they play, they tend to focus more on their action games, and less on their physical well-being.

However, it is still a minority in gamers that are affected by their gaming addiction, which is less than 3%. Personally, I am part of the majority that would not get addicted to gaming. I play Call Of Duty for about 30 minutes, and that is enough for me to relax after long periods of studying. In my opinion, those who are addicted to video games turn to gaming as an outlet to escape their problems from family, friends, or work. However, I manage my personal life much better, and do not really need the excessive use of gaming to forget reality.

Hence in reasonable doses, gaming can be very good for our brain and overall health. Video games have a number of ingredients that are really powerful for learning, attention, and vision. Therefore, gaming is not a bad thing.

I would enjoy going to the game arcade like the one in the picture. The pictures shows two sibling have the time of their life, enjoying playing air hockey with a smile on their faces. Playing in the arcade is different from playing video games at home. The cheerful and happy atmosphere when our family or peers starts scolding and hurling vulgarities at us or cheering us in the background while playing the games. Some may feel that playing in the arcade may feel like is a waste of money because the prizes there could be bought at a cheaper price in retail stores rather than spending more money to get enough tickets in order to exchange for the same exact prize. However, the arcade have many game stations whereby one of it is a racing game called wangan , it has realistic racing car seats, gears and steering wheels that feels similar to the real deal. You could not compare it to the set up that you have in your home and the feeling that you receive in the arcade is different when you play from home. The sense of adrenaline running through the veins and the anticipation that keeps you excited and competitive when playing against your friends. In my opinion playing in the arcade is worth the money even though you can buy the prizes from retails store but the cost is not what that it matters but the joy and thrill that you get from it is what it is worth for. In conclusion going to a game arcade is enjoyable to me even though my opinion may some what be unpopular I still stand by my own opinion.

No I do not agree gaming is bad because it causes addiction. Although gaming can cause addiction in extreme cases, gaming have its benefits too, such as improving cognitive abilities and widening social networks. It will be myopic to say that gaming is bad because it can cause addiction.
Firstly gaming can improve cognitive skills such as attention abilities and eye sight. According to research, Gaming can increase the amount of object of attention a person can focus on. Eye sight can improve, contrary to popular beliefs. Personally, I have been playing a first person shooter game for a long time. I often feel alert after playing the game because the game requires quick reactions.
Also, gaming is a good way to reduce stress, especially for students who have hectic schedules. Online games are easily accessible via laptop and mobile phones. It is within an arm’s reach. Gaming can temporarily pull us away from the dull reality we face everyday. Personally, I play games which I use to take a break. I feel energised after gaming probably because of the adrenaline.
Lastly, gaming can improve social abilities too. The myriad of technology nowadays provide us with many possibilities . There is an app called discord where gamers and social networkers alike can communicate on. People who have things in common are drawn together on this platform. Many online games provide opportunities for teamwork. Such as minecraft, where multiple gamers can work together to complete objectives.
Some may say that gaming can cause addiction, hence it is bad. They argue that games are inherently designed to draw gamers to play more. Although that is possible , it must not be forgotten that self control and discipline should be practiced while playing games. Like popular belief, everything should be practiced in moderation. Cases of extreme addiction are isolated cases. People who get their priorities straight is highly unlikely to get an addiction. Hence the argument gaming can cause addiction does not hold water because it is very extreme.
