Another challenge I foresee for the future is updating curriculum to meet the needs of future learners. Educause says that higher education will be adjusting their curriculum to meet the needs of their learners, (Educause, 20020, p. 10). The same can be said for primary or secondary schools. I think that districts our included can get in the habit of using the same curriculum over and over again. Not regarding any new resources that can benefit their teachers or students. This is a problem that we face. Year after year we use the same curriculum with little changes. As teachers, we let our district leaders know what parts of the curriculum are out of date, or not working for our students. However, the curriculum never gets updated based on our feedback. Overall, this can be a challenge because it can leave our students unprepared for the future. Our district needs to ensure they are updating curriculum based on what our students will need to learn in the future.
