I chose this image because it shows the tattooed numbers that were put on the jews upon arrival at the camps, this is a sickening image as it is, like they were treating these people like items with a barcode. This pertains to the quoted scene as when the jews entered the camp their old lives were over and they were left to live the rest of their lives as a number. This is a powerful quote as it shows how once you've entered the camp your name and who you were are gone from you now and they don't belong to you anymore. It is as if your soul was taken from you.

I chose this image as it shows how many people were devoted to Hitler's cause to eradicate the Jews and how a strong government can be turned into something evil. This quote is powerful because it shows how even today the governments of the world are not being run properly and it leads to suffering and hatred between people. This can be shown by Americans "need" to put up a wall to not deal with the spanish.

I chose this video to show what the horrible machines that were used in the camps looked like and how awful and scaring it is to look at. This is such a powerful quote as it is a disturbing thought that you would have to walk around in ashes of the Jews that were burned in the crematoria. Having to be in a place where all that you know and all who you loved were taken away from you and were burned to ash proves this was truly hell on earth.

I chose this video/article as it pertains a story of a jewish woman in a concentration camp and a story of how a piece of chocolate helped her. I also decided to use this quote as it tended to become a recurring theme in the book for a character to ask another for some chocolate. I believe that the chocolate was more than what we think of it today. To them it was like medicine, something that could make your day just a little more better or could give you that will you needed to go. This is proven and shown in the video.

This photograph was chosen to depict the horrible environment that the people in the concentration camps had to go through, like being transported like they were an item. This  relates to the quoted scene from the novel where the jews are being transported away so the Americans couldn't get to them and the rest were killed just so they couldn't get away. This quote is so powerful as it shows the true horror of what we have done as human being to one another to think of other people's lives as not as important as your own.

I chose this image because it shows the Jewish people wearing the star of David which they were all forced to wear to be identified. This relates to the quote as some of them could have not worn it and left their religion behind, but these people weren't going to change for what they were. What I have learned about the star of David is that it used to once be symbol used in the Jewish culture as a symbol of coming together which was then later butchered by the Nazis to use the star as a indicator on whether you go to the camps or not.
