Today's starter is going to be a longer one, we are going to do a lot of transposition recap before we move on to our simple equations!

For example:

2+2 = 4

or

2x + 2 = 6

thus x = 2

In terms of todays lesson, we are going to be looking at algebraic equations, in which we will have one unknown such as 'x' or 'y' and we have to solve to find what they equate to.
