• The Supreme Court ruled in favor of veteran Jim Rudisill, allowing him to access both the Post-9/11 GI Bill and the Montgomery GI Bill benefits for education. Rudisill's case highlights challenges in accessing both benefits, but the court deemed VA's denial "nonsensical" and reversed lower court rulings. This could affect the VA's $8 billion annual education payments and veterans' access to education benefits.

By the SAA, students will coordinate with a Veteran Certifying Official to certify a letter of eligibility before utilizing educational benefits. (Wheeler & Jackson, 2023)  It is required for veteran students to bring to receive their educational benefits. Its impact could result in the student being unable to use their rightfully earned benefits.
