Korean War Begains June 4th, 1950

The Koren War was already brutal and one of the major inguries were frostbite. By the time the war was over there was 3 million deaths and many more thousands of inguries. This war is also known as the "Forgotten War".

Truman approved H-bomb development January 30th, 1950

On January 30th president truman annouced his approval on the H-bomb development. Truman approved the request on march 10th after seeking advice from the special teams commmitee of the NSC. People would say the Hdrogen bomb was to be 10 times more powerful than the atomic bomb that we used on japan.

A-bombs developed by Britain 1952

Britain was the first country to get involved in the development of nuclear weapons. Great Britan wanted to have an independent nuclear force. In January 1947, plans were set to develop a British nuclear weapon. On October 3rd 1952 Great Britian went to Monte Bello Islands to test there first atomic device. The code name "Hurricane." It had an explosive yield of about 25 kilotons.

Korean War ends July 1953

On July 27th, the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed. This ended the Korean war after 3 long years. After the war over 40% of the nations population in korea were suffering from poverty. After the war the Korean peninsula was divided along the 38th parallel north. It is still divided to this day.

The warsaw pact defended the soviet union, Hungary, Poland, and czechsolovalkia. The war saw pacts itself was a defense organization wich was made by the soviet union and other parts of Eastern Europe. USSR permed military alliance equivelent to NATO.

The main goal of the Eisenhower doctrine is the reduce the spreading of communism. Eisenhower called out the soviet union in his doctrine by authorizing the commintment of U.S. forces.

The Hungarian Revolution October 23rd, 1956

The Hungarians were dominated by the soviet goverment. University students gathered to protest againt the USSR geopolitical domination of Hungary. On november 4 the soviets brought tanks and weaponds and they killed and wounded thousands of people.

Vietnam war November 1st, 1955

The Vietnam war was between North vietname and the communist. The war resulted in nearly 60,000 American deaths and and around 2 million Vietnamese deaths. On January 1973, an agreement between the U.S. and vietnam was made. America withdrawn there forces from Vietnam, and U.S. prisoners of war were released. In April 1975, South Vietnam surrendered to the North, and Vietnam was reunited.

Eisenhower becomes president January 20th, 1953
