Make eye contact when they speak, and try to make them feel respected and they make us feel respected back. Understand that there is more of a moral divide than just a mental divide. When discussing the ideas on your side you have to connect to the other side's moral values to understand each other.</div>]]></description>

I do believe that this is true in our country as so many people do not even engage in a conversation with someone who has different political views as them. We need to listen to one another. We need to keep eye contact, not talk over one another.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Usually when people try to have these political conversations one side leaves feeling unheard and disliking the other side even more. I think one issue is that we don't separate our feelings from our beliefs in discussions so when someone is opposing we tend to become defensive and the discussion turns more into a argument than a conversation. We could also have people who are stuck in their ways and will disagree no matter what.</div>]]></description>
