It is now at a crucial level and is affecting more people due to job loss, and financial unstability for various reasons. 
 It means more and more individuals/ family's are unsure if they will be able to put a meal on the table or even access healthy food resources.

-Since covid started there was a 20% increase in frequency of going a full day without eating almost every month.

- 1 in 3 children are going hungry, up from 1 in 4 children before covid.

-15% of canadians are now reporting they live in a food insecure household.

-un employment.
- no access to resources (food banks).
-lack of resources.
-poverty.
-family responsibilities.
-low income familys
-discrimination.

Although food banks do exist they are not always accessibile, you have to pre-qualify, they do not usually provide fresh fruits and vegtables or meat. They do not provide adoquite or healthy food or meals.

Possible effects of this are:
-poor health/well being
-poor dental health
-stigma/discrimination
-low energy levels
-sence of worthlessness

Our vision is to serve the community through a grocery store type atmosphere removing the stigma associated with visiting food banks, and providing healthy food options not usualy provided by other resources, where individuals do not need to be pre-approved and only pay what they can, after finishing their own shopping.

Our program will provide the following services:
- Fresh fruits, vegtables and meats.
-Pre-cooked pre-packaged meals.
- Daily essentials such as femanin hygein products, soap, ect.
-on site soup, sandwiches, and coffee/tea. 
-a safe space for clients to enjoy a bit and socialize with others.

Through partnership and collaberation with other agencies such as churches, volenteers, grocery stores, bakerys and government funding.
