- DCs join interviews for open teacher positions within their departments
- Summer School Curriculum (created by TFA) 
- Allow department chairs to be involved in the process of selecting teachers for summer school
All Teachers/Support Staff:
- Milestones testing schedule
- Pre-planning Agenda - how to spend our time preparing for the beginning of the 17-18 school year

For decisions that cannot be made with ILT/teachers, share rationale & updates:
- SIG Grant: weekly or biweekly updates 
- Personalized Learning: Tier 1 Cohort 

Revisit Consensus/Commitment (5 Dysfunctions of a Team) 
Not if we're doing things, but how can we make them better.

February - Initial Listening Tour & "State of the Department" for each Department
- What are the top issues/concerns?
- Define purpose of our department (Department Vision)
- Identify departmental needs

March - Strategic Initiative Planning & Input
- For each initiative, how does the implementation need to be changed for the upcoming school-year? (Advisory, PLCs, UbDs, Personalized Learning)
- Get input on Culture & Climate & Instructional Priorities

April -  SY17-18 Planning & Calendar Creation
- Fine Arts Example: called upon for tbut not given enough time to pull performances group. Clarify what we want the department i.e. rigorous academic instruction vs. performances

Collaborative Meetings - doing more things virtually (Ms. Walter's Idea) - evaluate our processes, how to get info without needing to do with synchronous.

Committees:
- Define committee meeting dates & commitment on the front end
- Give everyone a choice
- Why committees? Rethink that solution to getting interested staff members involved

True Collaboration = the right hand knowing what the left hand is doing at all times

Clarify the Purpose of Each Meeting
LTMs - agenda is already established, doesn't allow space for updates
- LTMs feel too large. Would like to make them smaller, have smaller meetings
- Admin/ILT can share weekly "Big Rocks" - decisions that need to be made, things coming up,
- Monthly meetings with departments where DCs/teachers collaborate to establish agenda
