I felt really happy, because I can try new things, like cableway hiking, creating my own ink-stone. When we in our hotel room, there were funny times and sad times, like for example, when my roommate, Charlotte, she saw a dead mosquito on the shower floor, she screamed and I laughed really hard. Another great time was having a barbecue dinner. It felt relaxing and all the pressure went away and we were having a great time! A sad time was when we were packing, I was literally crying through the entire packing.

Day 1:

I felt very homesick, but then I knew that camp was a great chance to make friends and have fun.

Day 2:

The best time of camp happened during BBQ: Food was dropping on the floor and getting burned, a loud laugh was from my table. We were laughing so hard that we didn't eat much. Very soon, the Laugh Gang was created.

My favorite activities were CableWay Hiking and meeting the local school. I enjoyed CableWay Hiking because it was challenging and I had a feeling of not giving up and trying my best. I enjoyed meeting the local school because I learnt lots about China schools and kids

I felt happy, sad and homesick:

Happy: We can play

Sad: We need to leave our parents for a few nights

Homesick when we are going to sleep because I really want to sleep with my parents

I felt very excited, tired and homesick.

First, when I was on the train, I felt very excited because I never toke the train for so long and I also never went to Zhao Qing before.

Tired because after the activities and the meals, I want to quickly take a shower and go to bed.

I was homesick when it was nighttime, every night I will think of everything I did that day and suddenly I was really homesick and I feel that I want to go back home

I felt excited because we got a chance to make new friends and exchange cultures. At the nights I sit on my bed thinking of my parents but I sleep really easily. I really enjoyed the dragonfly challenge and the community service.

If I could do it again, I would use more time to socialize with the students at the local school, so I can know more about them and what life is like there. I would also take more time to take in all the nature they had in store for us, it is just breath-taking! -Rachel

is that when I go to the United States for fun or for family, I see tons of nature by the country side. In San Fransisco, there are a lot of beaches and the sand and trees and just perfect, in the evening, you can see damp or even, black sand!

The thing I will never forget is the cableway hike. Because of the following reasons (there are ups and downs):

1) Because I was standing near the river when someone pushed me and I my right foot sliped into the river and my right sock, right shoe and my right part of my pants became all wet. After the cableway hike I asked my group leader if I can go to change my cloths and she said I can change it after lunch. So that day I didn't have a good lunch eith my foot feeling uncomfortable and itchy.

2) Because when I was walking on the thin rope, someone pushed me again and I fell butt first on the wet, dirty and ugly rope. Luckily I was still attached to the other ropes beside, or else I would fall into the river. It made my pants feel wet, uncomfortable and dirty too.

3) Because it was my first time I went for a cableway hike and I kind of liked it.

If I could do it again...

-If I could do it again, I would book a better hotel with no bugs and insects in our room.

-I would also put more mosquito repellent so that mosquitos wont bite me.

-Spend more time with the students in the local school so that I could understand them more
