Law Number 1: RESTRICTIONS ON WORKING HOURS FOR MINORS 14 and 15 YEARS OF AGE

I believe this law exists for the purpose of not stressing out younger teens. Because 14, and 15 year old teens are just entering high school and are already stressed. So the government doesn't want to add more stress to their lives and make younger kids work. So, they made the law that nobody under 16 years of age can be employed, so young kids wouldn't be worked to the point where there always stressed and are never able to enjoy their life, like children in the Industrial Revolution were.

I believe this law was placed so that children would be able to get their education. For example, only the wealthy children in the industrial revolution and poorer kids were worked 14 hours a day. They never had the chance at an education and spent their whole lives working just to support their family. But by adding this law, we can make sure that kids now have access to their education but can still work to support their family.

Law Number 3: PROHIBITED OCCUPATIONS FOR MINORS 14 through 17 YEARS OF AGE

In the Industrial Revolution, children as young as five years old were worked
14 hours a day, six days a week. They worked in factories, surrounded by dangerous machines that could possibly hurt them. And since few children were educated about the machines, many children were injured or even killed. And now, I believe the government put this law so that teenagers looking for work wouldn't be put in a position where they were uneducated and had a chance if getting seriously injured or even killed. Now if kids do get a job, it has to be a job they are able to do and not a job they're uneducated in and could possibly get seriously injured doing.

Industrial Revolution Cartoon:

I believe this cartoon represents the cruelness and unfairness of child labor during the industrial revolution. In the picture you see this factory surrounded by trash and dirt, which is a representation of how dirty and unclean cities were during the industrial revolution. In front of the factory you see screaming children. This shows how desperatly the kids wanted to not be working, and how desperatly they wanted their suffering to end. For the children, the industrial revolution was an awful time, because they were worked to their ends meet every daday, and barely offered any food during that time. And were barely making more than maybe 60 cents to a couple dollars a week. And they did all this to help their family but even though they were helping their family they were worked so hard that they never really got to enjoy their life.
