2. 3 different types of fonts were used in this poster. It is to differentiate the different components of the poster. The colour contrast of the big image of taylor swift and the background make her image look the most outstanding and attract viewer’s attention. The use of proximity & emphasis of the big image of taylor swift creates a composition so the viewer is drawn to the one thing I would want them to focus on which is the most darkened image of taylor swift. Thus, creates a focal point for the viewers.

2. For colors, I chose light blue as I felt that it could harmonize well with Taylor Swift's branding and theme, creating a cohesive and visually appealing look. There is also purple as it can convey a sense of femininity and romance.

   For image, I wanted to add a visual/aesthetic appeal, which is why I added a blue concert ticket together with Taylor Swift and watercolor splashing from her hands. 

For my design, I went with something simple and retro. For my title i made it big and create some depth to it by having double colour/effect. This makes it pop out more and it would not be so plain. It would also catch people's eyes first as it is so obvious. For my background, i made it translucent as if it is opaque, it will make the whole design look weird. With it being translucent, people will be able to focus on Taylor Swift at the right side better as it stands out more. I also darken Taylor Swift so that she matches with the background as it is brownish colour. For the other information, i made it smaller than the title and change the font and colour so that there will be some difference and not repititive.

For my adobe event cover, i started from scratch and work with a plain template as it was much easier to just freestyle it. For my design there are different shapes like rectangles boxes and banner. added the banner to the title so that it pops out more and catches people's attention easily. For my title and the other body text, it is different size and font which makes it have some contrast. For my background chose a background which have some texture to it so it would not be so plain. And lastly, i of course added some Taylor Swift picture as she is the main character of the event cover.

The strengths of Adobe photoshop is that you can create and edit anything to match your intended design as they provide you a wide arsenal of tools & effects to aid you. However, the disadvantages is that with the amount of tools provided & how well you are able to use them depends on the users level of understanding for each tool.

Design Principles

Contrast in Font colors, such as Grand Prize which is in red. Easily attract readers attention. Hierarchy where the main title is the biggest font and is at the top. Contrast in font shape & sizes giving more depth. Color contrast with the main image on left being taylor swift where its darker than on the right with her album covers in the backgrouund.

Contrast in colours where the background was a mix of 2 colors and the foreground were 1 colour. Not only color but also texture. The background had more texture than the foreground to add depth and to make reading the text easier. The colors chosen compliment each other giving a harmonized overall look. Different fonts and font sizes were used such as the name was in big fonts to attract the viewers. The title was at the top in white while being the second biggest font size to show that it was the header.

Proximity: The different information for the meet and greet are grouped separately.

Type: The font used for the text resembles that of the font that is used on tickets. The red text are in a different font as it is supposed to be as though it was written on to the ticket.

Contrast and emphasis: The text are coloured in contrast with the pink background. The main text Taylor Swift is coloured red to emphasis it among the other text.

Texture: The pink background has a subtle paint spill texture.

2) I used hierachy for the text in order to guide the audience through the design appealingly. The difference between the sizes as well as the layout of the text helped me to do so.

As for colours, I wanted to use a colour palette that fits well with the potrait of Taylor Swift that I chose. In doing so, it creates a soft look for the audience.

I made the background darker and included a white CD so that it will contrast each other. This will make the CD stand out which allows readers to be able to read the information on the CD.

I also made the header bigger as compared to other texts as I wanted to get everyone's attention.

I used the same 2 colours blue and black for the texts as I did not want to make it too messy for viewers to read.

I tried maintaining a blue and pink colour scheme so that it will look more cohesive.

I also used a texture that looks like wrinkled paper as she uses a lot of paper theme.

I decided to add a red and blue neon square to make Taylor Swift stand out so that viewers will know that the post is about something related to her.

2. Hierarchy is used in the type bodies. The different sizes allow them to grasp the attention of viewers smoothly and transition from one to the next with little confusion.

   Proximity is also used between the visual elements to ensure the design doesn't look too cluttered to confuse the viewer.
