As a teacher, here are the things I either could not live without, or would have loved to have.

1) Chrome Books Chrome books are awesome. Super easy to maintain and force students to live on the cloud.

2) Touch Screen Display. There's no doubt this is 1,000 times better than a typical projector. You don't have to be at your desk to teach!

3) A set of VR Goggles. Doing Expeditions, and introducing things with crazy cool images - nuff said.

4) Green Screens. I used to do all kinds of Green Screen activities where students would pretend they would be going somewhere around the world. I used paper. It never worked.

5) Amazon Alexa. I had one of these in my classroom. Fantastic way to look up things, play music, and even teach kids to speak clearly!

1. Desktop Computer/Laptop
Even though we are fortunate enough to have the technology that we do, not everyone is in the same boat. Just having a computer for a teacher to use is a great first step in enhancing learning.
2. Projector
After a computer, the projector becomes the most important device because it enable the students to see whatever content the teacher would like to show. It enables more to be shown to the students.

3. ELMO DOC Cam
The Doc Cam allows teachers to show handwritten aspects of teaching to students in an easier fashion.
4. Sound System
Watching videos and presentations has become a large part of the classroom. Having a sound system helps students hear the information they need.
5. Apple TV
Since many schools are adapting apple products as a school provided item, having AppleTV's helps teachers and students collaborate on a large screen.

1. nteractive Whiteboard

This is like a projector on steroids. It can display like a PC but is touch screen and can be used by both students and teachers. This could be used during a presentation or for demonstrations. With the touch screen functionality it can make a powerpoint lecture more exciting and interactive.

2. Backpack sized internet devices

Like the iPads that we use at Center Grove all schools should allow their students access to the internet and allow them to share documents and information from anywhere. This not only makes learning more fun, but more accessible to.

3. Online Classroom

If schools are going to have technology there should be some sort of online classroom, so if students are at home they can access the class information.

4. Document Camera

With the switch from paper to computer classes need to be able to show physical papers to the entire class via a document camera. This can also be used to show small scale demonstrations to the whole class.

5. Video recording and playback equipment

Teachers should be able to record lessons and lectures so students at home can view them later. These videos should also be able to be played back during class, if the teacher has prepared something at home.
