Duke has a 2 week Drop/Add period at the beginning of the semester when students can add or drop classes.
2. This extended period of time causes confusion in class lists and students could possibly miss up to the first two weeks of a class. Because of this, some faculty are hesitant to start important work at the start of the semester.  As graduate student semesters are only 13 weeks long, this delay can affect instruction and learning.
3. Most students don't have a car and Duke's transportation system isn't good enough.
2. Most students study late in the library and It's dangerous to go back home from school if it's too late. The average waiting time for safe ride is too long and safe ride's range isn't big enough to cover some communities. There are not enough school buses in the morning. Students often miss their first class if they leave home even one minute late. The Rider app is not well functioning sometime.
3. Duke can have more safe ride cars and drivers and manage them well to shorten the waiting time.  Increase the frequency of school bus in the rush hours. Fix the bugs in the Rider app to make it more stable. 

If Duke had increased the frequency of school bus in the rush hour, students who left home one minute late would have attended their first classes on time.

2. This situation could cause two main problems. Firstly, it will delay some international students to learn and improve English skills at the first semester. Secondly, it will potentially cause conflicts of registering courses for these students in the coming second semester, because they have to take several English courses at the same time to meet the EIS courses requirement.
3.Duke should offer more available English courses to guarantee all the new international students can take English course at the first semester .

There is only one canteen which is west union in the campus. The price is relative high, and food is not tasty. 
2. It is inconvenient for student and faculty in east campus to have meal. Since the public transportation on campus is also not very convenient. The price of food is very high at least $10 per meal.
3. We can build some grocery store to provide student with snacks and drinks in different regions, for example, each department building. University should limited price of canteen, and provide delivery service for student, which can also offer some part-time jobs to students.

New 7-floor Science Drive parking lot is almost mile from center of the campus, but few commuting tools.
2. Science drive parking lot is one of the parking lot most far away from the campus center, with 2263 parking lots. Hundreds of people need to walk to their offices and classes for more than half hour every working day, with only one bus coming no frequently than 30 mins.
3. There should be more commuting service, including buses or bicycle renting service, at Science Drive parking lot, so that most people can commute to their working spots efficiently.
