Many years ago, this region was praised because of its abundant natural resources especially the fauna and flora. Far from my father and mother, I was not feeling comfortable in my first year in the city although I was always among the brilliant students in my school. Although I was excited about the the program(environment faculty), my 5th choice during the orientation. 
At the end of my first academic year, I realized that environmental issues is one of the most pressing challenge my communities is suffering from, I accepted that I was not sent into that program just to have a degree but to get skills that will help me be part of the solution. I got the chance to work closely with some rural communities on community sanitation projects through that moment. Therefore, I started looking for scholarships opportunities that could help me empower my knowledge and shape me to unfold myself and unleash my potentials in order to take action towards my mission. It is in fact, in 2020 I got information about MAVA Foundation scholarships and apply, which allowed me to be part of the ALU communities of young leaders to looking forward to make a change in their communities by solving global challenges. Through this opportunity, I am pursuing my studies as global challenges student focused on wildlife conservation program at ALU, Rwanda Campus.
