That is always useful. Integrating the 3 Cs was a new one on me. It is a subtle process, and making this accessible to students here will be challenging.

The workshop also made me aware of just how far these students still need to go, and how little support is being received from the school. Quite scary. Not sure how this will turn out ...

The next thing to do will be to find a good textbook. The Stimpson one looks good. See if I can also find a course companion like Pearson does for Economics. 

When I have the textbook, I will do Quizlets, for new content obligatory vocab, with images. Then hunt down appropriate case studies, preferably in Word so they can be cut down and simplified. That will be a lot of work, so I will just do it for the first unit.

This is also the most challenging work for me to start my incoming BM classes in September. I need to rethink all the plans on cases I have prepared. Concepts should be emphasized in the beginning, in the process and in the end whenever it's possible so that students will learn the importance of the concept-based learning. 

Besides, I'll keep diversifying my lectures. With more and more activities involved, students will more proactively engage in learner profiles, ATL and concepts. As a result, the successful application of the above in BM classes will benefitial my IB ECON classes as well.

Basically, the conceptual-learning methods is brand new to me. I can see the evolutionary side of this pedagogy which ensures multiple choices and strategies for teachers to use according to the content and context of the article and case study we are in.
Secondly, the case study introduced into IB BM course is considered a brilliant idea. Learning from doing is always the best strategy for both SL and HL students use in preparing their internal assessment and also do good to their extended essay if they want to. 
I will definitely do Quizlets as guided by Paul, which is ultimately useful for new teachers and also students who are not familiar with the content of book.
Last but not the least, thank you to all my lovely colleagues met in the workshop. Hope we will meet someday in someplace around the world.

I truly enjoyed the wide diversity of colleagues, experiences and ideas.  It made for a very productive and informative learning experience.  I personally, enjoyed the case study approach and connecting the students with real world examples to help them internalize the concepts.   I’m excited and nervous about the concept-based approach.  I’m confident it will be amazing, but it will be an exciting journey.   
 
I’m looking forward to teaching my first BM class and sharing my passion with my students.  I can’t wait to explore case studies, visit local businesses, edit my first Internal Assessment essay and draft a mock exam or two for my students.

I was able to explore and understand in-depth knowledge about IB curriculum. I think this platform has given me a better planning of my resources and to prepare my learners as per IB mission statement. It has also made me go with the concept based approach and I would love to share my experience with IB learners.

The 'concept-based learning' approach is quite genius, not only does it takes pressure off the teachers' shoulders it also encourages students to take up responsibility for their own studies. This is really good training for them to enter universities as lecturers often do the same. It is no wonder universities actively recruit IB Diploma graduates.

For my last words, I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their teaching materials and philosophy. I will definitely make good use of them to instill life-long learning into my students. Best wishes go out to every one of you!

I felt like I had no scaffolding upon which to build. Throughout the 4 weeks I have been amazed at the talented individuals who were my peers. I have learned so much from all of you. As an American, what became most apparent to me is the value of education in other parts of the world. I hope to inspire my students to place the same value that all of you inspire in your students. I am excited to embrace a new educational strategy. It is in my nature to facilitate learning as a guide on the side but have always assumed a sage on the stage role. The pedagogical shift will be huge but so worthwhile. I look forward to the use of case studies and Quizlets. I am already designing posters that reflect the command terms associated with AO1-AO4 and have an agreement with the PLTW teacher to print on an engineering printer as laminated. I will hang these in  whatever classroom they happen to put me in. 

I would like to recognize that the workshop was delivered in the English language. Not a problem for me as that is my first and only mastered language. I am in awe of all of you who were participating in this workshop using English as a second or third or fourth language. I have the ultimate respect for you all!!! Your ability to communicate with me, and my inability to communicate with you in your primary language, has just made me feel very humble. Thank you so much!!!

Conceptual based learning is an exciting approach to teach the students and I am looking forward to implement all the methods and ideas I have learnt here.  In future, I will be using OCC a lot to look for information and ideas. During the 4 weeks period i learned a lot about consept based approach and how to use 6 concepts of BM in case studies. I also had a great chance to explore BM syllabus for IB standards, and also learned baout assesment procedures for IB. However, as an Finance and Accounting lecturer, i had a lot experience in teaching, after participating in this workshop i defined that the teacching approcah is absoulately differend in IB.
