Yannis Ritsos was a Greek poet born in Laconia. He was also a left-wing activist and an active member of the Greek Resistance during WW2. He lost at the same time his mother and his oldest brother dead from tuberculosis, his father had several problems. Indeed he fought against mental disease. All of that accompanied by an economic ruin of the family. His poetry was really marked by those events, it was a turning point. In 1931, he joined the Communist Party of Greece. His poem Epitaphios, published in 1936, broke with the shape of Greek traditional popular poetry and expressed in clear and simple language a message of the unity of all people. ��H��X#�*

First of all, Thanassis Vegos was born in 1927, in Greece and died in 2011. He was deported in Makronissos 1948 for politician reasons. He was a famous actor and director. He stared in more than 100 movies, often in funny roles and he was the most appreciated comic actor. He met Níkos koúndouros, a director. Thanks to him, his role on “He is one crazy… Crazy Veggos” in 1965. After that he became an idol. Lastly, in 2008, Vegos was appointed Commander of the Order of the Phoenix by the president of Greece.

Kostis Maravegias is a Greek singer, songwriter, composer, performer, director, TV presenter and writer. Yet, we'll focus on his music life. He plays accordion, piano and guitar, moreover, he sings in Greek, Spanish, English and Italian. His music styles are world music and folk rock. He produced 5 albums with his band and he received 3 awards: the first is the Best Duet Song in 2011, the second is the Best Alternative Video of 2011 too. The third, and the last one, is the Best Composer of 2014. So, to conclude, we can say that Kostis is a fabulous and talented artist so it's for this reason that he's the most famous Greek musician.
