         <description><![CDATA[<div>A ship called "The NS de Buen Viaje", was first set off from the Canary Islands, Around the time of 1592,&nbsp; with the captain "Bexa, Diego de". This ship between 1585-95, made 3 voyages, and transported a total of 345 enslaved Africans. In 16th century of Spain, there were many important events such as&nbsp;</div><div>The revolt of Comuneros.&nbsp; This was because when Charles V, came in the succession of the Throne, he appointed foreigners to the court when promising not to, making tax demands, and then setting off to abroad to not lose his accession to the throne of the holy Roman Empire.</div><div>The golden age of the 16th and 17th centuries.</div><div>“An era of social peace, great artistic endeavor and a place as a world power at the heart of a world empire, the sixteenth and early seventeenth century have been described as Spain’s golden age, an era when vast booty flowed in from America and Spanish armies were labeled as invincible.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Around the time of 1500s, the Spanish explored the land of columbia, and started to colonize Columbia after Santa Marta founded in 1525, Cartagena in 1533, The new city of Granada ( which soon was renamed as Santa Fe) in 1535, and Cali in 1536. Around that time there europeana diseases spreading there as well, such as smallpox, which reduced the Indigenous Caribbean Population when slaves were imported from Africa. The Spanish rule lasted from 1525 to 1808, during the 16th century, Spanish farmers colonized the area and the remaining indigenous people were moved Specially designated reservations In Columbia.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>"The Poelwijk", a ship which was first set off in the Netherlands, on 1670-12-11. The captain of the ship being, Berge, Cornelis. The vessel was owned by Hoorn, Jacob van</div><div>West-Indische Compagnie. Between the years of 1659-92, the ship has travelled 8 times. In the travels the ship transported a total of&nbsp; 2216 enslaved Africans. In the&nbsp; 16th century, Spain Had colonized the Netherlands, when Charles V had been crowned in 1519, he already had a good hold of the Netherlands territory which he had inherited before. As the century went by, the Dutch were finally able to free themselves from the rule of Spain. By the start of the 17th century, the Netherlands was a free Country, Dutch success in freedom was basically because of political, military, and economic factors. Politically, they were the only one with a Republican government at the time. This gave more power to the citizens to the success of the nation, and this gave more power to the merchants of the Dutch.(“Dutch Republic.”)</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

At the end of 16th century, This empire was really important for the leaders of that empire, because they controlled a large part of West Africa at that time, they also had their hands over the West Africans gold, they also had control over the saharan slave trade routes. A man named Sultan Ahmad-al Mansurfrom Morocco, saw the opportunity to capture and control West Africa, by first controlling the empire, they were fully armed, they defeated the empire when Askia Issihak II at Tondibi was the leader by 1591.. In 1620, the Shonghai empire had been splintered into many states, all the states were looking to gain control over the Saharan slave trade route. There were many slaves that were being transported from this route in the 17th century, and 18th century as well, but were less in the 19th century. It also suggests that Dutch buyers and African sellers of slaves had lots and lots of trade in&nbsp; the second half of the 18th century, this is according to the Middelburgse Commercie Compagnie ( MCC). From beating till death to many other situations and cases. Many say that it is the most lives lost ever during slavery. Many were also dead in the Ships they were on, because of illnesses, and poor treatment. It is often seen in the books or primary sources about the situation for slaves at that time. We should honor the slaves and respect them in the memories of the history.</div>]]></description>
