Americans are proud to be Americans and will do everything in their power to defend and protect their country. Public acts such as these were seen everywhere and created a sense of "I've got you" mentality. In the media, many things were censored and we were cautious about what we said including on television and in music. People were not willing to fly even though safety measures had been taken. Security had been amplified in airports but still, american citizens were still hesitant to travel.
