    • Flexible scheduling will allow librarians time to assist/teach staff during plan periods or department meetings. This time will allow teachers an opportunity to learn new technology that will aid in instruction.
    Robust Infrastructure
    • Flexible schedules will allow more access to resources when needed for assignments. Students will be able to access their library more often than once a week or every two weeks.
    • Flexible scheduling will allow librarians to run different programs such as maker spaces or whole grade programs because they can arrange their schedule around planned programming.
    Community Partnership
    • Flexible schedules will allow more time to schedule outside programs and collaborate with teachers to develop these programs. Planning time will be available during the school day because the librarians can schedule it when necessary.
    • Flexible scheduling will allow time to schedule volunteers and other library helpers.
    Data and Privacy
    • Flexible scheduling will allow time to introduce and teach the importance of student privacy by scheduling time to
      work with teachers when they are available.
    • Flexible scheduling will allow time to schedule lessons when classroom teachers need library lessons taught to enhance with their curriculum.
    Collaborative Leadership
    • Flexible scheduling will allow time for meetings with administration, teachers, others in the district, and outside collaboration such as with the public library.
    • Flexible scheduling will allow librarians to meet with teachers during plan times to develop innovative lessons.

    • Flexible scheduling will allow students to learn about media literacy when it is needed for lessons instead of on a fixed schedule when it is part of a library session. Teaching media literacy within the context of the lesson will be more beneficial to students understanding than a free-standing lesson.
