1. In almost all of the cartoons they have pretty much the same theme. There's one guy that is the powerful leader and is bigger than the rest. They also have like one guys controlling many countries at one time.
2. One of the differences is that some of them are in color and others are black and white. Some of the cartoons are more realistic than others.
3. Controlling- They all have an aspect of a person that is bigger than the rest, that has better clothing, and that seems like people are paying attention to that one person.
Power- One person appears bigger than the rest of the other people.
Land- A lot of land under one person, like one person over the land.

1) A similar theme throughout the photos is that the overpowering figure in each photo is portrayed much larger than other parts of the cartoon. Each cartoon also includes countries or maps so that it is more clear for the reader to comprehend what is happening and some idea of what countries are involved.
2) They are different in many ways because some cartoons portray one man alone taking lots of power whereas the other cartoon has a group of men somewhat worshipping or have fallen powerless to the main man or country which is the biggest feature in the cartoon.
3) 1 theme present is the idea of making the most important character being the biggest character. Another theme of one character representing entire countries. A third theme is only men having power.

Citizens bow at the feet of the man and seem to be overpowered and very reliant on the man.
2. They are different in the aspect that some of them show the people and their involvement in the country, whereas some only portray the white man controlling all of the land by himself. Other differences include the portrayal of multiple other countries, whereas some show specific parts of land that the man is taking control over.
3. 3 themes presented in these cartoons are male domination, the reliance of peasants, and the want for more land.

England is shown as a larger than life figure in most of them and in one people are worshipping him.
2. it seems that each of them are representing different reasons for imperialism. The first and third show how England is taking over territory and controlling all different lands while the second is of England gaining power and taking over countries. The third represents the White Mans Burden with the school house and the english man carrying the man to get him an education.
3. Three themes that are in these pictures are power, gaining land and all of them really represent how England is pulling all the strings and dominating other territories.

There are many differences in the cartoons such as having different countries portrayed. Another difference between them is that some people are taking land and other people are taking land.
3.) One of the themes that really stuck out to me was that in the last cartoon it shows a man carrying other people marching towards a school house which is a depiction of white mans burden.

1. They all portray the theme of controlling and overpowering other countries and having the most power
2. The first one shows the Europeans having the control over all countries at once kind of like the third and being sort of a ventriloquist where as the second one shows them only taking over one country at a time.
3. 1- Theme of arrogance and the thought that it is so easy for them to be able to trample other countries as if they aren't even putting up a fight.
2- Theme of greediness because they want to conquer every country at once until they control basically the world.
3- Theme of being self absorbed and not caring really about the countries they are taking over or the well being of the people but also the idea that its everyone for themselves and instead of working together Europe has divided into doing their own things.

The last cartoon seems as if the leader worked to control the land unlike the other who don't show much effort. He is taking a man to the school house and walking on the field of dead people.
3.
