It also, fixed the problem of different timezone by creating four standard time zones. Towns also began to specialize in a certain good which gave the states individual strengths.          <description><![CDATA[<pre>The populist movement was started by the common people, specially farmers. It began when business men in  charge of the railroad began to overprice their service. This lead to farmers going to debt along with anyone who was trading. Eventually farmers began to create meetings and then they created the populist party. The populist party is important beacause, it brought up important ideas whcih we still use today.</pre>]]></description>

Some of the ideas the populist party had would be the income tax, election of U.S senators by direct election instead of appointments, secret ballot, and an eight hour work day. These changes are very important cause they have improved our life style. Lastly, without these laws life would not be the same.</pre>]]></description>

I found it very interesting because the drawings have a really interesting way of portraying what was going on.
