The Interview connects with how beauty standards change through time because it shows how mothers in a certain way influence how modern women perceive beauty. For example, the daughter of the beginning explained what she likes the most about her mom is her capacity to be strong, even if she had difficulties in her life. This influenced her in her life and said that her mom attitude when she was a kid helped her in her life. This is a concept of beauty that some people have, this is internal beauty. Kathy Eldon tells us about how her daughter saw her putting makeup on, this influenced her daughter Amy Eldon to put on makeup and get worried for her physical appearance since she was young, in contrast with the first family, because the first daughter refers that she didn't feel pretty when she was young. This means that the way mothers behave or treat their daughters can influence the way they perceive beauty when they get old. We can see that the Eldon family gets worried about physical appearance because when she was young, she saw her mom putting makeup on, so this influenced her to get worried about her physical appearance. The first family admires the attitude of women who fight during life and they consider this beauty. We should remember that beauty has a lot of perceptions, so these are two completely different ways people perceive beauty, and thanks to the interview we know that this may be due to many factors, one of them is the way you were raised. 

According to the dictionary of cambridge, beauty is defined as ¨the quality of being pleasing and attractive¨.  Beauty has fascinated humans  for centuries. Everyone has their own likes and their own picture of what they consider beautiful, but usually, there is a general perception of beauty. This perception is usually selected by society. Society selects some aspects of people that are considered beautiful, for example their hair, their body, their eyes, their manners, etc. These stereotypes are globalized thanks to newspapers, magazines, and nowadays, social media.  The beauty stereotype changes through time. However, there are some aspects of beauty that have been changed science a lot of time, like the light eyes, or the blonde hair. The website Boom Beauty in the US, tells us that beauty has changed a lot due to the lack of knowledge that people have at that moment. For example, before people used to like heavier women, because they thought that this type of woman was healthier, but nowadays people prefer thin women. “The standards of beauty have changed a lot because of the lack of knowledge that exists in the lifetime of each generation and of each culture before in the US ¨the “ideal” female body type was much heavier than it is today. A thin silhouette as the beauty standard is a very recent development—it only started in the 1960s!” This means that the beauty standard evolves as we do, before we thought that a heavier body meant healthy, but now we know it doesn't. In the 1920s was introduced the flapper era, where a slender, boyish figure became fashionable. This trend was overturned in the 1950s, as curvier figures, exemplified by Marilyn Monroe, became the standard of beauty. By the 1960s, the ideal shifted again, favoring a thinner frame, which has remained dominant in Western beauty standards for decades. Nowadays, the beauty standard in woman have changed, there is a lot of variety due to the propaganda that said all bodies are perfect.
