This is true however there is also a majority of people that are getting their first ever phone or switching phone brands and using Apple phones. If these apply then it is most likely that they'll have to buy their own. To Whom It May Concern:

Hello, my name is Elaine Duong and I am a student attending Temple Intermediate School. I am writing this letter to you as I have an assignment from my class to write a letter addressing the needs of a well-known company or brand. I decided to write to you because Apple is a respectable electronic retailer.


Even though I find Apple to be a well-developed company, I still have some questions and suggestions for Apple. According to the article “Apple Explains Why It Removed Charger, Earpods from iPhone 12 Box,” the article mentions that Apple has stopped including a power adapter and earpods in iPhone boxes since 2020. Though this change was implemented back in 2020 when the iPhone 12 was released I still find that Apple should include a power adapter in the box. I understand that earpods are accessories and don’t need to be included. However, without a power adapter iPhones won’t charge meaning consumers without one will have to buy their own power adapter. This will cost consumers an extra 20 dollars. People might argue that including a power adapter in an iPhone box is harmful to the environment. Although this is true, I believe that not including them will hardly do anything for the environment because there are still so many people that need them and don’t already have them. For instance, people changing phone companies will most likely need a new one and people getting their first-ever phone will need one. People changing their phones for the first time in a while will probably need a new one as well. Ultimately, the people that probably won’t need a new one will probably be people who change their phones annually or every other year. 


For these reasons, I strongly believe that Apple should start to include power adapters in phone boxes. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter about including iPhone adapters.
