I found the quote “The business cycle is doomed, thanks chiefly to the government” interesting because it is relatable in nearly every country. The government is responsible for mostly all the economic crisis’ and reccessions.

It is interesting to learn how unpredictable business cycles are to control. These major swings are caused based on human nature itself - greed, scarcity, stability and uncertainty.

How far technology may advance in the near future is both fascinating and fearsome. These advances may boost and improve overall health and fighting disease.
However, the increase of technology also causes fear among workforces. An example is the recent introduction of shops that operates with cameras and tech, a receipt is then directed on the shopper's phone.
This was met with a mixed reaction, some captivated, while others in worry of what this means for retail workers in the future. Whether this is positive or negative for the economy, or what this means for those in the retail workforce if this spreads and becomes a norm is something I am unsure of.

Its always a interesting topic to discover the money you hold today is usually worth less the next day. Obviously it is not dramatic as this but the concept applies. The government and companies likes a minor amount of inflation as we are more inclined to spend our money when it holds more value then when it is worth less. This would mean people are less inclined to save their money as it is worth less over time meaning the circular flow has no leakages from saving.

Seeing that the entire economy of nations can change so drastically when new technology arrives on the market is quite interesting. Britain losing out to the us in the 2nd industrial evolution just showcases the power of innovation and how it shifted the US into a global superpower. now we are watching china report insane growth figures slowly bringing them to the top of the worlds superpowers.
