Homeless people will often move in with relatives or friends. The ones that aren't so lucky live on the streets. The average homeless person used to be just single men, but in recent times, more women and children have been homeless. Several groups and nonprofit organizations have made strides to help homeless people. In places without good, stable public transport, homeless people have trouble going to work or servirces. 
Food desert-a place where food is limited due to poor transportation.
Racial segregation-Segregation often occurs involuntarily. In particular, throughout U.S. history, many communities had neighborhoods where African Americans could live and neighborhoods where they could not.
Services-Much like housing, shops and other services struggle to survive in some urban neighborhoods. If the patrons are poor, prices for services must be low to maintain a customer base. The result is very tight margins with little money available for shop owners to spend on maintenance or improvement of their facilities. The decay that afflicts housing thus spreads across the service sector. 
Public transportation- The combination of large cities and the population that requires the need for every day travel.
Gentrification- Gentrification often occurs when old, inner-city housing is purchased at low prices and renovated by investors or by new residents with higher income.
Informal economy-In the slums and squatter settlements of cities in the less development world, the informal economy is important, effective, and vibrant. The majority of the population may be part of it. Where governments have been ineffective at promoting the growth of businesses individuals have taken the role.
Other infrastructure-Transportation systems are the most noticeable parts of any large city. To build, repair, and replace infrastructure is often costly, in busy place, this can often be disruptive. Most of the infastructure today is old and outdated (as to be expected).In large cities disposing of waste is a very particular issue; large cities produce more waste than smaller, less dense cities; this waste and pose many health hazards to citizens within the cities. When deciding on who pays for elements of infrstructure, where they should be constructed, whether or not these additions pose any social or economic benefits are all debated by elected officals, making it a highly debated topic.
Terrorism-To gain political power through violent towards government and civilian targets.
Crime-Criminal activity is concentrated in urban areas. In larger, more densely packed cities, people can be more anonymous and are more likely to be more temporary residents; because of this, cities and neighborhoods take many precautions like increased police or the neighborhood watch.

Racial Segregation- The practice of restricting people to certain circumscribed areas of residence or to separate institutions and facilities on the basis of race or alleged race.

Terrorism-The symbolic value and newsworthiness of cities make them attractive targets.

Blockbusting-The practice of persuading owners to sell property cheaply because of the fear of people of another race or class moving into the neighborhood, and thus profiting by reselling at a higher price.

Ghetto-Areas of poverty occupied by a minority group as a result of discrimination.

Urban Colonies- When people voluntarily choose to live near people of their own race or ethnicity for social reasons.

Gated communities-Walled or fenced neighborhoods with limited access and entry points.

Crime-An action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law.

Public Transportation-Buses, trains, subways, and other forms of transportation that charge set fares, run on fixed routes, and are available to the public.

Informal Economy-The portion of economy that is not taxed, regulated,  or managed by the government
