Over the past academic year I have had 3 job. since the age of 15 I have overall had 5. Each job apart from one had been external, the other was work experience through my school in year 10.

First job ( work Experience ) | Smile Hairdressers

I chose to do my year 10 work experience in a salon in Hadleigh. Hairdressing was the path I was considering to take as a career. I worked at the salon for 2 weeks. I was then given the opportunity to work additional hours during the summer holidays.

My role was a jounier stylist. This involved: Greeting customers, sweeping hair, general tidying and cleaning, answering the phones, washing hair, washing tints and highlights off of the hair, Straightening, Blowdrying and assisting the stylists.

Skills gained:

-customer service

-Verbal and communication skills

-Practical Hairdressing skills

Second job | Coronado S.A

This was another Hairdressers that I worked in. I worked full time (46 hours a week) during my summer holidays before college. I worked here for 7 weeks then left for college.

My role again was a Jounier stylist. This involved the same as my previous job. However, this time I was older and had more experience within this area so i was able to learn more practical skills. For instants i was able to start tinting hair. I was able to improve on previous practical skills i learnt and also learn new skills.

Third Job| Oysterfleet Hotel

I then applied for a new job to help fund my course for college, to help buy fabric and the essentials I need. This is a job I found in christmas 2014 and I am still currently working here now. I waitress in a function room, serving a 3 course meal followed by coffee and tea. I then clear all of the plates and cups to be washed up. i would also be asked to lay up the tables before for example a wedding. As this is only function work It isn't frequent which is why I have had and want a job on the side.

-Knowledge of food For example Vegetarian

Fourth Job ( christmas temp) | River Island

I worked here for over a month starting in december as a christmas temp. I thought this would be a great chance for me to get some type of experience in retail as I wanted a job that linked with my course. I worked as a Sales assistant. This involved in me: helping customers, keeping the shop floor tidy and presentable, in charge of fitting rooms, delivery, tagging clothes, Organising over-stock.

Fifth Job | Dominos Pizza

I worked here as an in-store for 2 and a half months. This job involved: Shaping the pizza base, saucing, cheesing , placing toppings, putting the pizza into the oven and then cutting and boxing it up, furthermore i would clean i shop, take orders via front desk or phone and wash up.

Board 1 | surrealism

This board is based around one of the things that inspires my creativity in my course of fashion. Surrealism inspires me as it reminds me not to go so literal with my ideas but to have a lateral approach. It gives me a sense of freedom as there are no limitations. Furthermore you can have a personal representation. One picture or garment could create many different meanings and emotions to different people.

I looked at surrealism in art, photography and fashion.

Board 2 | Travelling

Being able to explore and see a large amount of unusual and beautiful places would be an inspiration for my work but also this idea of traveling inspires me to do well. The idea of traveling gives me that drive to be succssesful so that i will be able to see the world. Looking at the different areas and cultures of the world provides so much inspiration for my creativity and my drive to be successful.
