Leadership quote - Mod 7

While looking further into "leaders vs managers", a point of interest for me in chapter 13, I found a profound quote that I liked. In essence it states that a company (and it's leaders) can sabotage itself much more than a competitor can. The quote is: "“Your company is its own competition and can deliver itself debilitating blows the competition only dreams of.”
― Stan Slap

Apotheker vs Fiorina - Mod 7

Before the discussion post for this module, I had no idea who Leo Apotheker was. So I looked him up and found an article that compared him and former HP CEO Fiorina (who I knew was a presidential candidate). Many consider Fiorina to be a terrible technology CEO but Apotheker outdid her in his 1 year as CEO compared to her 6. The acquisition of Autonomy was a terrible decision on his part.
