My name is King Charles I and I believed in the divine right of kings so struggles with parliament over taxation, religion, and governance continued. My feud with parliament led to mine dissolving the governed body multiple times without their permission.This conflict quickly escalated resulting in the English Civil War in 1642.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

I am Oliver Cromwell and I was a Puritan military leader during the English Civil War. I am crowning the Lord Protector where I ruled England until I died in 1658. I am known for my part in the execution of James I & for ruling England as a military dictator.

Charles II (1658-1685)

I am King Charles II and I have a rough time during the Cromwell rule, I am exiled France by Cromwell because of the threat I posed to the throne as Charles I's son. When Cromwell died I returned to England and restored the Monarchy. During this time there was a fair share of problems, the great fire of London 1666.
