Shariah Law in general is a very literal interpretation of the Qur’an but also tends to include more of a level of extremity. Those who follow Shariah Law believe it to be the best and only way of governing a people whereas other Muslims view Islam as strictly a religion, not a governing body. Of course, all religions believe their religion is the true best religion, but Islamic fundamentalists lean toward the side of cutting themselves off from all other religions as they believe Islam should reign supreme universally all over the world. This coincides with a general anti-Western view as well where Islamic fundamentalists may be more inclined to view Western society as a very sinful side of the world with a loss of morals.
