He mentioned in both the Qur'an and the Hadith . The Angel Jibril revealed Allah's words in the form of the Qur'an to Muhammad on the Night of Power . Because of this, he is also known as the Angel of Revelation, as he played a vital role in communicating Islam to humanity.

The Big Three: Islam, Iman, & Ihsan
Scholars consider Islam, Iman and Ihsan the three stages in the path towards Allah (swt). The first path is Islam you force yourself to obey His orders and prohibitions . The second level is Iman where you are doing good deeds to strengthen our Iman in order to be blessed by Him. The third level is the level of Ihsan, which is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and even if you cannot see Him, to know that He sees you. So, you are moving in this path, this journey, towards the Divine. And in doing so, it’s getting more and more intense.

The Shahada is a testimony which brings one into Islam, it also must be said with purity of heart and conviction, the statement in Arabic translates to: “There is no God but God and Muhammad is His Messenger.”

“Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge – [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”

(Quran 3:18)

2) Salah 
Muslims are required to establish ritual prayers 5 times a day at specified times:
  • Salat al-fajr: dawn, before sunrise
  • Salat al-zuhr: midday, after the sun passes its highest
  • Salat al-‘asr: the late part of the afternoon
  • Salat al-maghrib: just after sunset
  • Salat al-‘isha: between sunset and midnight
“And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].

3) Zakat
Zakat is separate from charitable gifts given out of generosity. It is a systematic giving of 2.5% of one’s wealth each year to benefit the poor.

4) Fasting

In the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, Muslims fast from the break of dawn until sunset. This includes abstinence from food, drink and sexual intercourse. Fasting promotes patience, discipline and increases the purity of the mind and piety.

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous”

(Qur’an 2:183)

5. Performing Hajj
Pilgrimage (Hajj) is an obligation upon every able-bodied and financially capable Muslim, both male and female, to complete the pilgrimage to Mecca.

    Definition

    1- Al-Ihsan (the highest level of Iman where we worship Allah as if we see Him or if we don't see Him we know He sees us) is about fearing Allah and glorifying Him. This will lead us to strive for our best in performing our ibadah - we will be more sincere in our ibadah.

    2- Thus Al-Ihsan is also about the best actions of the heart. The actions that will lead to Al-Ihsan: to love Allah the most, to fear Allah the most, to seek the help of Allah, to have hope in Allah that He will give us mercy and guide us, to trust Allah wholly

    Why is Ihsan is important ?

    In Islam, ihsan is the Muslim responsibility to obtain perfection, or excellence, in worship, such that Muslims try to worship God as if they see Him, and although they cannot see him, they undoubtedly believe that He is constantly watching over them.

    What qualities does Ihsan have ?

    Ihsan "constitutes the highest form of worship" (ibadah). It is excellence in work and in social interactions. For example, ihsan includes sincerity during Muslim prayers and being grateful to parents, family, and God.
