Learning and developing a growth mindset transforms the meaning of effort and difficulty. Students believe that they have the ability to become smarter. Every students should believe that because they can. Students do not have to gifted and talented to achieve this, rather it is done through hard work and engagement in the material being learning.

To help my future students "build the bridge to yet"/ develop a growth mindset I can praise them for their engagement and hard work rather than their talent and intelligence. That helps to teach them that they are capable of anything with their engagement and hard work, as well as have the ability to become smarter through this. I can use the words "yet" and "not yet" to show them that they are going somewhere and the learning curve is happening. I can also change their mindset by pushing them to learn outside of their comfort zone.
